“I was in the kemptville location and all I have to say is…. WOW!! The staff in this building are some of the most polite people I have ever met. I needed some help finding some things and ryan was happy to help with the biggest smile although it was very clear he was extremely busy. Was nervous approaching cash as the line was backed all the way up, but it moved very fast. The cashiers were out of this world with the younger lady with glasses running between self checkout and serving people on checkout but still served me with the biggest smile in the middle of all this Christmas chaos. This store has really turned around in the last year and is a business I will continue to support.”

“This location was the only Canadian Tire store within a 150km radius that had the item I was looking for. I set up an online order, and was notified that it was ready within 2 1/2 hours of placing the order. The item that I wanted was rather large, so I chose the curbside pick-up option… as someone who has never used this service, let me tell you, if you’re someone who needs some extra hands, the staff here will assist you no matter if it rains or snows.

Brody (or Brodie?) was a total darling and fully loaded my order into my trunk, alone. Thank you for your sweet support and kind words Brody! Managers please give him a raise :)!”

“part shopping trip, part survival experience, part anthropological study of humanity at its absolute weirdest.
You walk in for toothpaste and somehow leave three hours later with a kayak, 40 pack of granola bars, and deep emotional exhaustion. The lighting is a bit like being interrogated by God, but hey — prices that low don’t come with ambiance.
The staff? Legends. Half of them look like they’ve seen things no mortal should — like a man in pajama pants arguing about rollback pricing on frozen taquitos. And yet, they soldier on with a smile (or at least a facial twitch that could be mistaken for one).
The clientele is… eclectic. You’ll see a guy buying motor oil, diapers, and fishing lures at 10 a.m. on a Tuesday, and you’ll think, “Yeah, that tracks.” It’s a place where society’s dress code has officially given up — if you’re wearing pants, you’re overdressed.
Sure, it’s chaos. Sure, there’s always one kid screaming in electronics and another person blocking an aisle with their cart while reading shampoo ingredients like it’s poetry. But there’s something comforting about it. Like, this is where humanity truly lives.
Four stars — one deducted because I can never find a cart that doesn’t sound like it’s possessed by a poltergeist. But other than that? Magical. A fever dream wrapped in fluorescent light and rollback stickers.”
