Washroom out of service. God knows where do the employees go during shift. The owner has to fix it.

If stories about power-hungry bathroom gatekeepers ever needed a main character — this Esso location just delivered one.
I stopped here and politely asked to use the washroom. No drama, no demands — just a normal human needing a restroom. The cashier denied it instantly, like I was asking to borrow the station keys to the Pentagon.
This letter sent to Esso customer complaint office:
Subject: Restroom Access Incident — Resolution Requested
To Whom It May Concern,
At your Esso location I was denied access to the washroom. When I asked, “Show me the corporate policy where it says I can be denied using the washroom,” the employee responded, “I’m the policy.”
This conduct is unacceptable and inconsistent with expected service and public sanitation standards.
I request:
written clarification of your restroom-access policy;
confirmation that employees cannot deny access arbitrarily;
a formal apology from the employee and site manager.
This incident and your response are being documented.
So I asked a simple, logical question:
“Show me the corporate policy where it says I can be denied using the washroom.”
And the older cashier proudly announced:
“I’m the policy.”
At that moment I realized I wasn’t speaking to a regular gas station employee — I was in the presence of the Supreme Commander of Toilets, the Self-Appointed Minister of Lavatory Affairs, the Living, Breathing Human Rulebook of Esso.
Who needs corporate standards when you have a man declaring himself the law like he's starring in some low-budget gas-station western?
Forget customer service. Forget hygiene standards. Forget basic human decency. At this location, one cashier’s mood apparently outranks common sense and public sanitation.
To Esso management: congratulations. You have a location where the policy isn’t written — it’s… chanted by the chosen one behind the counter.
I’ll be taking my business elsewhere — preferably somewhere where staff don’t confuse themselves with the Constitution.
Zero stars for service.
Five stars for unintentional comedy.
