I ordered a large bottle of black tower wine for a friend's birthday and a large bottle of Bailey's for my mom from the lancaster store to pick up. I made sure that they had it in stock. I paid online but once I paid it told me that I have to wait 5 to 14 business days for it to ship from a warehouse in Ottawa. I went to the store and asked why when the products I ordered were in stock. I was told that they don't allow same day pick up at this location. I couldn't believe that it did not tell me I would have to wait 2 weeks for my order. The wine was a gift for my mom's friend and she would not get it at her birthday and the Bailey's was so my mom could meet the minimum order requirements. Now we had to wait two weeks! I sent an email to LCBO complaining that there should be better warning to their customers before placing a pick up order. They replied only to say they just don't offer same day pick up at that location, but nothing to say they would remedy the issue or compensate me for wasting my time. I expected that I would get an email when the order arrived like it stated on my confirmation order email. On Sept 20th my mom was concerned that we had not heard anything, so I gave her the number and order number to call and she was told it had arrived at the Lancaster store Sept 16th, but I never received any notification from LCBO that it arrived. What is going on with your company? Is this how you treat your customers? I won't be ordering anything else from LCBO again! If I could give you no stars I would. This is such a waste of time and your customer service is terrible.
