“I am in love with the brisk blood orange. I literally looked everywhere I can for them. Family Dollar has them 3 for $3. I have several family dollars that I pass all the time and I stop in there to see if they have them. Once in a blue moon, I get lucky and they have a few. I ordered them on Walmart plus to be delivered to my home and I can order 12. I’m lucky if I get six. But this party store is amazing. I’ve been in there a few times and he usually has a whole bunch of them at 2 for $3. And the guys that work there are cool as can be.”

The selection is top-notch, and you can tell the owners really care about what they stock. The store gives off a nice friendly vibe the staff is always welcoming and helpful making it a great place to stop by. Andy & Chris are Total pros. Friendly, knowledgeable, and more than happy to offer recommendations or mixology tips. They even helped me build a custom gift basket that was a total hit at a recent event.
Prices are more than fair, especially considering the quality and range on offer. Plus, the store is beautifully organized and well-lit, which makes browsing a pleasure rather than a chore.

“Best wine shop not only in Eastern Market, not only in metro Detroit, not only in southeast Michigan, but all around! Cost Plus Wine Shoppe is a family run business that has been around for decades. It started out with the amazing, kind, sweet and knowledgeable Tim McCarthy who spent all his time and energy in the business to make sure that it was the best it could be. No matter who you were, if you stepped foot in Cost Plus and had a conversation with Tim you immediately became a family friend. His son Dan McCarthy was always there by his side working his bum off everyday making sure the company was the best it could be. When Tim retired, Dan took over his dad's reign and it still continues to be the best wine shop in the area. With the help of investor friends they bought and rehabbed the second and third floor which are now being used for wine tasting and events. If you're interested just contact one of the workers at the wine shop or call them. Tim's wife Sally and Dan's wife Kim absolutely cannot be left out when talking about the success of the wine shop because they have put so much into that business and work so hard to help make it what it is today. Anytime you go in there you'll most likely see Dan's wife Kim running around, working her bum off, helping someone or doing something to help make the business better. I used to work there sometimes when I was younger and for their catering business and those still are some of my best memories. Cost Plus is a true Eastern Market legend.”

The salesman who was responsible for sprit tasting was very professional and welcoming but the cashier was in a rush for some reason and did not treat us as well as my previous visits. I think the cashier was new to the store but trying his best.”

This is hands-down one of the most unique cultural spaces in Detroit. Liquor Basket x Push Gallery is a one-of-a-kind destination that combines a neighborhood business with a powerful artistic mission. Even though I don’t personally drink, I visited to explore the art—and I was absolutely inspired by what I saw.
The gallery, led by Detroit artist Dominick Lemonious, creates a platform for local creatives to shine. The exhibits are bold, thought-provoking, and deeply rooted in Detroit’s identity. It’s clear this space is about more than just aesthetics—it’s about storytelling, community, and honoring Black Detroit voices through visual art.
Their current exhibition “Community First” features a range of talented artists whose work captures the spirit and resilience of the city. It’s welcoming, meaningful, and something everyone—no matter your background—can appreciate.

“Let my guide status speak for itself: I don’t give out 5 stars for nothing. I recently moved to Allen Park, and this is the only liquor store I will go to. The inventory is excellent, and the staff is by far the most friendly and helpful group of people I’ve met at any liquor store.
I’ve seen some negative reviews, but I have to say, they couldn’t be more wrong. Unlike the previous reviewer who inexplicably kept returning despite their complaints, I’ve had nothing but positive experiences here. The staff not only greets you with a smile but also goes out of their way to help you find what you need. They regularly inform me about new products and offer their honest opinions, which I find incredibly valuable.
Hands down, this is the best liquor store in Allen Park. If you’re looking for excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere, this is the place to go. Don’t let a misguided review steer you away from this gem.”

“I love the Lasalle location. Close to home, clean, and great staff. I want to mention Diane, who went above and beyond the call of duty yesterday. (August 8, 2025). A 60oz bottle of Carolans broke on the floor of my car. I went back into the LCBO to get a box to put the glass in. Diane had just checked me out, so I asked her if she could provide me a box. She stepped up to the plate, got a box, rags and armed herself with gloves. She came outside with me and proceeded to clean the mess in my car!!! As well, my bottle was replaced!! So, if you see Diane, aka Queen, please extend her a little extra kindness. We need more Diane's in this world!! Thank you Diane!!”
