Great staff and outstanding practice. I’d recommend Modo Yoga to everyone. Especially this location, the teachers in the class and front desk representatives are extremely friendly, helpful and encouraging.

I had an incredible experience at Modo Yoga Maple! Having attended many yoga classes, I can confidently say that this studio stands out. First and foremost, the cleanliness of the facility is exceptional, creating a welcoming environment. The instructors are top-notch. They not only possess expertise in yoga but also radiate a warm and friendly vibe. Their guidance on perfecting yoga techniques and entering poses is remarkable. Among the wonderful instructors, Mauro and Sharon have become my favorites.

I was visiting whilst on holiday. Took the opportunity to try yoga for the first time (early 60s). Loved everything about it, the studio, the classes, the staff (so warm & welcoming) and that I was able to go at my own pace as a first timer.Enjoyed it so much I attended another 4 sessions at this studio before returning home. This then gave me the incentive to book sessions locally at home.

Highly recommend. Instructors lead a class that is fun, calming, and at the same time a great workout. Studio is well equipped, staff is friendly, and studio and change rooms are well kept.

I had my first class here today (Barre) and it was my first time trying anything like it. I met the instructor as soon as I walked in and she showed me around the studio and explained everything I needed to know before the class started. She warned me that I may feel dizzy or lightheaded during the class due to the intensity and heat which is exactly what happened about 40 minutes in. The instructor noticed almost immediately and came up to me to discretely offer (which I appreciated very much) for me to go out and sit down in the air conditioning. The lady at the front desk (I believe her name was Bri) gave me an electrolyte and told me to sit on the couch near the reception for as long as I needed. Both she and the instructor checked up on me repeatedly to make sure I was okay. Many people approached me after the class to ask if I was okay. I felt very cared for and greatly appreciate the attention and concern I received today. Despite the dizziness, truly an amazing experience and a very fun class.

I have mixed feelings about this studio. On one hand, the room is really hot, and they do have some really amazing teachers (I had an amazing practice with Sharon - she has such a warm and nurturing energy). My practice with her was incredible - a judgemental free zone.On the other hand, my first practice at the studio was with Danny and I didn’t have a great experience. It was a Sunday morning and I was going through something emotionally. I just wanted a space to practice and to be left alone. We all have those days, don’t we?Normally when I practice, I wear my Apple Watch and use the workout app to track my heart rate (those with Apple Watches know what I’m talking about). About 1/4 through the practice, the gentlemen next to me, his Apple Watch went off “exercise ring closed”. And that’s when Danny came to me and asked me to put my watch in airplane mode.. the thing is, it was.. and it wasn’t my watch that went off. Another 15 minute passed and he comes by to me as I’m in Utkatasana, he asks me what I’m tracking on my watch, and I said, I’m just tracking my heart rate - kind of hard to explain in the middle of a pose. . Again, I was going through something emotionally and at this point, I was confused why Danny came up to me again… I continued to practice and check my watch occasionally.. again the workout app > yoga. Then, at the end of practice, Danny felt the need to speak to me again, about how he didn’t understand what I was doing. He then proceeded to tell me that it was distracting and etc etc…If you don’t want your students using their Apple Watches to track their breathing or the time that is passing, then it should be clear before class begins -> studio expectations. I don’t need to be approached 3 times about an “issue”. Just be clear and communicate.Needless to say after my 2 week trial passes, I won’t be coming back. As a yoga teacher myself, I understand that we can all have bad days. Maybe I caught Danny on a bad day, who knows but it did feel like he was making some assumptions about my intentions in practice.
