Great spot for used clothing and shoes. Got a few pairs here. Sometimes you will find pretty new apparel. Note that there seems to be more items in their Richmond Hill store compared to Markham.

I found the knee-length puffy coat of my dreams today, together with some Fergalicious boots - and left with my wallet in great shape! Very kind and helpful staff.

It’s not a bad location, they usually take most of my items that I bring in. Most of the employees are friendly.. on occasion there are a few who tend to ignore and look the other way when you need assistance but overall if you need fast cash right away, it’s a good place to go.

Took in a bunch of clothes and a decent amount were taken for a good other in my opinion. The conditions and reasons for choosing clothes to buy from you makes sense. Also, I love the concept that people can buy these clothes at a discount price and that they buy used clothing.

The cashiers and staff have been nothing but wonderful. To the people who leave 1-2 star reviews, you haven't worked retail a day in your life, have you? Not only are they just trying to get through the day, they're getting through it with honestly the best customer service I've seen in a store, and these are from a bunch of teenagers. Sometimes I don't get the offer I thought I would get, but I was told how the system works when I first started selling, so obviously I'm not going to be upset. They're kind, helpful, and go the extra mile to help me out.

Shopping at other locations I've had a nice experience. Here lots of the clothes are Shein or very cheap. When selling here, don't even bother. I was told clothes have to be bought from the store within 1.5 years, all my clothes didn't "fit the demographic" and that I should go sell my clothes in Scarborough. I'm a black woman. Honestly saying that my clothes were not in style and they did not wish to take any would have been fine. But the not fitting the demographic comment and telling me to sell in Scarborough really made feel weird.

I really like this Plato’s location! Staff is very nice, the store is huge, and I really like the fact that they take in vintage clothes/brands. I saw a few cute items of brands that looked vintage while the style of the clothes were still very cute and stylish - I appreciate that because it’s super refreshing to find cute good quality items no matter the brand. Just because something is Zara or from Aritzia doesn’t always mean it’s stylish or even good quality. The only downside is a small selection of Plus size women’s clothing - but I do appreciate the effort they have made by dedicating a whole rack of clothes near the entrance of the store labelled “Curve”! Will def be coming back :)

Very bad experience. Don’t waste your time! This is the worst Plato’s place.Came in and dropped around 5:30 and the girl told me it should be ready in 2 hrs, then I came back around 8 and they said it’s not gonna be done today with a horrible attitude. I had to pick up and drive all the way to the store again on the next day, but guess what they didn’t pick even a piece. Completely waste of time and ruin my day.

Extremely bizzare experience. we carefully read the website, showed up, and they said NO CLOTHES IN BINS OR SUITCASES only bags. so we asked WHY it doesn't say that ANYWHERE. it's fine to have rules, just communicate them nicely. no reply.Do you have bags then we ask them? No they say and that's it. Ok, no worries, we went and bought bags from a nearby store, emptied the neatly folded clothes into into clear garbage bags in the parking lot, brought them back in. They said put it there. one hour later buzzed, they said no nothing. they hadn't even opened the bags, it was clear nothing had been looked at or opened. I also wouldn't have come if I didn't have unused designer clothes right. We were really nice about everything too, but it was but decided to the end. It's clear there's a good chance they will lie to you about going through your clothes here! Reporting this business officially, legally for bad practice. enjoy the inspections.Edit: extremely bizarre review experience. The owner just read my review, and pretended I was complaining about the bag rule, long paragraph about why the clothes have to be in bags. Doesn't care they are no signs or info or scheduling on the website. Doesn't care how good employees tested us. Doesn't give a thought about the multiple hours long terrible experience anyone had. Trump, is that you?

Manipulative, dishonest business. Writing this review because this place just ignored and dismissed my wives review below please read it carefully), writing a long mansplaining reply about how clothes need to be in bins as though thats her complaint at ALL. It's not. Doing that is just going to make your customers feel angrier. They were rude, unprofessional, disorganized, uncommunicative, and flat out did not check our bags or take out and look at any of our clothes, but buzzed us that checking is done. We aere not making these accusations lightly. Suggest you delete your gaslighting review reply and actually take responsibility or apologise.

I will say this is a good shop for young people because most of the garments were quite young! So, it is actually a good idea for teenagers to buy second hand here because they can save up money for buying trendy clothes in the mall. However, I think half of the goods were quite heavy used, and not “like new” condition. If you don’t mind, then go and check them out!

I've visited this location more than a dozen times, and I'm happy to report that the staff have always been responsive, polite and professional. The prices for their merchandise are reasonable, as they also need to make a profit.I have offered used clothing for sale; however, I was politely declined. The staff & selection of clothing is great. Please give them a try!

Personally every time I have shopped at this specific location I have been made to feel so uncomfortable in my own skin by the staff. They are young tiny women who seem to think that anyone who has a bit extra weight shouldn’t be shopping. Attitude comes out and they ignore you. Unfortunately, all the clothes they purchase is either small or half the clothes are missing. ( You know what I mean ) This store is not targeting anyone other then young thin women sizes XXS-L. There XL sizes and up hardly exist if at all. I know myself and a few other people have asked the workers there why this is and the response is “This is our demographic sorry”. I strongly advise you don’t shop here. What I do HIGHLY recommend is driving the extra few kilometres to the Newmarket location as they are phenomenal and so welcoming..Staff are kind and understand that people come in all shapes and sizes.Do better Markham Platos..

Brought in a bag clothes, everything in mint condition and they tried to tell me zippers weren't working there were stains, HOWEVER, half this stuff was brand new. The zara pants were 49$ and haven't even been worn. Plato's closet BFFR. Also the woman at the counter sounded so happy to tell us my clothes were trash ?. I mean good customer service but at least feel some emotion damn.

Two words- GOLD MINE. Idk why everyone is hating in the reviews, this place is AMAZING. GREAT name brand pieces for EVEN BETTER prices. Lululemon, Oak and Fort, Aritzia (tna, babaton, etc!!) Nike, Coach, Kate Spade and Michael Kors to name a few that I saw a lot of. I’ve also sold with them before, which is a great alternative to your regular thrift store. Helping the environment AND getting paid for it!!?? They also literally explain the buy process in detail and tell you they only pay you 30-40% of the floor price so idk why everyone’s acting shocked in the reviews? This also explains how they keep their prices SO low and offer amazing, quality BRAND NAME pieces at 50-70% off retail price. They even explain that they may have to pass on great pieces AND give other buy/ sell alternatives. In my opinion, this place is THEE place to find trendy, AFFORDABLE name brand pieces for teens and twenty-somethings. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Anyone who’s leaving a negative review is probably upset they got low or no offers for their crusty, outdated clothes. 5 stars baby!!!! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
