“Good Japanese mall consisting of a grocery store, cosmetic shop and a shared space/mall of fresh baked goods, meats, fishes, sushi, kitchenware, jewelry and more.”

“We loved the mall and had some great stores and lesser known brands, which we were glad to come across like the studio Gilbili, being human and a few other Korean and Japanese inspired stores. I am looking forward to our next visit.”

“Super cool mall but a lot of the stores are scammy. I would say avoid any store that does not have price tags on items.I’m mixed race Asian, so often the store owners would assume I am white and give astronomical prices until I respond in mandarin with dissatisfaction with the obvious rip of prices at which point they often change the price drastically. This type of scammer behavior is trashy and bad for business. Even when given cheaper prices I would tell the store owner that their initial ask was insulting so I’m uncomfortable doing business with them.Would have bought a lot more if I felt that people were honest. I did buy a bunch of awesome stuff from the stores that did have price tags though! The top floor has more reputable small business owners.”

“The atmosphere was good. On weekdays it is less busy and generally a somewhat quite place. It can be very loud on weekends and holidays. There are a lot of food options, some are better than others.”

“Although this mall is quite dated and in need of a renovation, it is super busy on weekends due to all the restaurants, food court and Freshway supermarket. Very difficult to find a parking spot. You will find all your chinese shops here including herbal medicine, clothing, takeout, jewelry, Feng Shui products, dentist, doctor, bubble tea, travel agencies, salons, etc. All the mobile phone companies are here too. The most busy food stalls are the 2 BBQ meats.”

“Coming from out of town 5 hours, I enjoyed having a variety of stores to check out when arriving early for a medical appointment.Dr. Wallman and Sharon his secretary, are very kind and caring. Making it a very comfortable appointment. Also, quick x-ray times in the same building.”

“Big parking lot. Always difficult to find parking here. Plenty of shops (supermarket, drugstore, lottery, restaurants, Chinese herbs, snacks, houseware, clothing, bakery, food court...) inside and lots of empty open space. The restaurant at the corner, along Kennedy, is good but pricey.”

“The J-Town Shopping Centre is a small complex made up of a few buildings; the most notable are Heisei Mart (a Japanese supermarket) and the food court. The supermarket carries mostly imported Japanese products. The food court consists of 2 sushi vendors, 2 bakeries, a wagyu specialty store, and a small restaurant selling mostly Japanese curry dishes, tonkatsu, and omurice. The sushi & sashimi at the food court are super fresh. They have a wide variety of fish and seafood, including yellowtail, mackerel, squid, different cuts of tuna, uni, various fish roe (including my favourite, ikura). The bakery carries various Japanese buns (including the famous melon pan, buns filled with anko (red bean paste), etc.), sandwiches (e.g. yakisoba sandwich, fluffy egg sandwich), and some ready-to-eat hot food items (e.g. soba noodles, seared tuna salad, croquettes). The seared tuna salad was quite a hefty meal - 4-5 thick pieces of seared tuna, covered with black & white sesame seeds, sitting on top of a bed of quinoa, mixed beans, edamame, corn, cucumber, and cherry tomatoes. It made a very well-rounded and satisfying meal. The seafood croquette was great as well - crispy in the outside, soft and filled with umami in the inside (it had the consistency of mashed potato mixed with big pieces of seafood, including shrimps). Although J-Mart may be small in size (both the supermarket and food court), it carries authentic Japanese products and fresh foods. There is even a takoyaki stand just outside, and a nice courtyard to be enjoyed in summer months. You know that a sushi place is authentic when the menu doesn't have 'Americanized' sushi rolls (California roll, dragon roll, etc.) - just the best and freshest sushi and sashimi selection.”

“Late Mar, 2022. Convenient and accessible by car the better. Close to Hwy 7, Warden. Many vendors and eateries. Hsbc has a branch here and quiet at time of this visit.?”

“I went to this Centre to visit Wellwise at Shoppers Drug Mart. Centre is big with several good stores such as T&T, Shoppers Drug Mart, Esso, Tim Horton, CIBC, Pizza Pizza and others. Parking lot is huge, however could be challenging at some times due to shoppers of the popular Chinese Supermarket T&T.”

“An interesting indoor mall that has been around for a couple of decades, anchored by the giant restaurant and banquet hall in the middle. Most people come for it, but there is also the housewares store in the basement and several other small shops catered to niche needs. Accessibility isn't that great, though... a bit dim and narrow halls, but the parkade above the mall itself is an advantage!”

“A nicely designed Asian mall in Markham. Marketing and sales should do a better job in driving traffic to this.Try a new eatery at the food court, two choices of food with rice for $10. Taste is good. BTW , servers speak Cantonese and Mandarin.”
