“This Dollarama location in North York offers the typical variety of affordable household essentials, seasonal items, and snacks that keep me returning for quick purchases. The store is generally well-organized, and I’ve found some great deals on kitchen gadgets and cleaning supplies here . However, recent visits have highlighted some persistent issues.”
“It's a small plaza but plenty of parking.
Stock well. I think prices have gone up to $1.75 standard now. It used to be 1.50 a while ago.
I like to get my gardening pots here. Can't beat the price.”
“Very well located Dollarama branch, nearby Yorkdale shopping center, and a few Bus stops away from Wilson Subway Station with the Dufferin Buses - 29 & 929 Express.
Very spacious and one of the larger branches for this store, so you’ll be able to find everything needed there. Would be great if they can add discounts and sales, or even a rewards program for frequent customers!”
“Great store, lots of parking available, unbeatable prices, one stop shop for everything you need.
You can rent a truck, get your winning lotto tickets, buy clothes, food, cleaning supplies etc.... not to mention the very helpful staff ready to help you help.”
“Good prices, although they've increase some prices from a dollar to $2-3. The store is clean, and it might be hard to find a staff member to help out but they are usually nice.”
“An excellent store to have in the Plaza. So well stocked with very good quality household, stationery, beauty, party, seasonal/holiday items and so many other categories of items. Pleasant, polite and helpful staff too make it such a great place to shop.”
“Better value shops, won't be regretful if you are looking for the best option for Dollarama or the dollar shop. In some instant, you will be happy to see some unusual varieties. Some items are beyond your expectations. Better to visit, you never know, you may find the item here that you are looking for a long time and could not make it. You will get some things instead. Serving is better for local residents for a long time. Don't worry about parking, enough for you. Try to avoid Finch avenue west traffic due to construction for future LRT.”
“I’ve been shopping at this local gem for 20 years now, and I think it’s important to share a more complete picture of the experience. Yes, this store is a small, family-owned business run by wonderful, hardworking immigrants. They may not be fluent in English, but their kindness and helpfulness are always evident. The owners are genuinely dedicated to their customers.
I understand that the phone etiquette could be improved, as sometimes it’s a little more informal than what you might expect. But let’s not forget, this is a small business, and they’re doing their best to serve the community. What they may lack in formalities, they more than make up for in sincerity and a willingness to help.
When we talk about supporting Canadian businesses and small stores, it’s places like this that really need our support. They’re not just selling products, they’re part of the fabric of our local community. So, while there might be some minor things to tweak, I’ll continue to shop here and recommend it to others who want to support a kind, family-run business.”
“Some good prices, but now that they raised their pricing level, some things are over-priced.
Beware of the Eco-fees, for some reason they charge more than other stores. ?♂️”
“It’s really good they have good stuff under 5 dollars so i can recommend this place to go they have stationary stuff, food stuff, craft stuff, plastic and glass stuff and also they have kitchen and cleaning supplies so if you want to buy a small amount of the volume they i can suggest go dollarama.”
“Bog standard Dollarama, but for some reason they've disabled all their new self-checkouts for well over a month now, so checkout times are longer, I'm guessing to deter theft from high schoolers across the street? But then why not turn them back on afterwards? Or perhaps we're finally beginning to win the war against the machines.”
“This Dollarama has almost everything you need for daily life. Clothes, tech accessories, food, art/office supplies, books, kitchen utensils, etc… You never know what you’ll find for a great deal here. Staff is gracious and helpful. Every time I come here it’s always super busy with people. The best dollar value for your money out of all the Sheppard Centre shops. 👍🏼”
“I like it. Better selection than Dollarama for toys, batteries, electronics.
Slightly more expensive but I found better quality thicker plastic things than one would find at dollarama”
“Cheap and best for use and through stuff, sometimes you can find good things there as well. The only bad thing is you can’t return or replace. So just be mindful and careful.”
“Canada’s treasure hunt headquarters. You walk in for one thing, walk out with 14 items you absolutely did not need but somehow feel proud of. A solid 8/10 ‘I can’t believe this is only $4’ experience.”
“Great location in the mall but didn’t have what I was looking for. Came during holiday season so I know inventory can be low in certain products but staff was friendly.”
