About Toronto Wildlife Centre
Toronto Wildlife Centre (TWC) is a vital charity dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating sick, injured, and orphaned wild animals in the Greater Toronto Area. Since its establishment in 1993, TWC has helped over 100,000 animals from nearly 300 species, offering emergency rescue services every day of the year. The centre is the only accredited wildlife veterinary hospital in the area, staffed with highly trained and caring professionals who provide efficient and compassionate care. Visitors to TWC often praise the knowledgeable staff and volunteers for their dedication to the animals. The process for bringing in injured wildlife is structured, requiring initial approval through an online form, followed by assessments via phone or video. This careful approach ensures that animals receive the appropriate care. Follow-up services are also available to keep caregivers informed about the recovery of the animals they bring in. Despite being understaffed and relying on donations, TWC remains a beacon of hope for wildlife. It emphasizes the importance of community support to help save more innocent lives. Additionally, the centre's location near notable attractions like Centennial College and Downsview Park offers visitors the chance to explore the area while supporting a noble cause.

We're really lucky to have this place in our city. I've taken quite a few injured birds over the last few years and it's always a very quick and efficient process, with highly trained and caring staff.
