“Having banked in Oakville for over 30 years, let me share recent experiences of this as a bank/credit union and branch. Currently, as of Nov. 2020, First Ontario is the best in their customer service relative to other downtown banks. The other downtown Oakville banks can be ranked in this order 2)Scotia 3)RBC 4)CIBC 5) BMO 6)HSBC 7)TD. When it comes to Credit Unions (ones with real offices you can visit), First Ont. are as good for service. The only thing that lets them down at this time is that their investment rates don't currently match Talka (Hamilton), Duca (Burlington), BCU (MIssissauga), Parma (Toronto).”

“Tangerine Bank has no account fees. I find them very handy. I get my pay early and there online service is very simple to use. Great security also. I had fraudsters take money out and I was given every penny back. It took less than a week for the funds to be returned. Staff are kind and patient over the phone. There are times wait times are little longer than usual. : ) But if you call early or late you'll get through a lot quicker.”
