“I want to express my great gratitude to Jagvir Gill and Miao Jiang for their kind-hearted gestures with the customer-oriented mindset when they assisted me late that cold night.I had troubles with an overseas transfer to my TD account, and the remittance amount is big (at least it’s a big amount to me as it was all my past saving sum). For the past 10-12 days the remittance amount had been nowhere to be seen, whereas the teller from the overseas sending bank insisted on the successful remittance. With that confirmation from the sending bank, logically I should reach out to TD the receiving bank.However, after a few calls to TD hotline, I were informed of the same thing that they didnt spot such incoming fund to my account, but they advised me to physically visit a TD branch for a thorough check. Desperate enough, I went to TD Branch at Bristol-Marvis at Mississauga to receive such a horrible customer experience of my life. The teller there threw me off by saying “If there is no money means there is no money” without batting an eye on the transaction reference I passed to him. He even wrongly blamed me for using 3rd-party app to transfer money, while it was not the case and I used the official ibanking app of the sending bank, the national bank of Singapore. That teller should not be at the front desk since he is surely a “genius” in shattering the mentality of any in-despair customers.Then I decided to try my luck again by visiting this branch after 5pm on Sat, holding no much high hope for a better customer service. To my surprise, perhaps due to my perplexing and nervous look at that time, Jagvir approached me immediately by the time I walked past the door, asking what was my issue and whether he could extend help. He was smart and understood my situation quickly after our short conversation, then he asked for help from Ms Miao to contact the wire department and check for me. That extra help of contacting the back-end wire department indeniably gave me a great deal of assurance no matter what the outcome is. At least I knew I was well-cared for by the bank I had chosen to put all my lifetime saving on. Jagvir and Miao even asked me to contact them again if the remittance issue persisted and could not get solved in the following week. Way much better service than the Bristol branch!Actually I had a few bad experience with Bristol branch and this incident was the last straw. I will make sure to do all my visits to Jagvir and Miao’s branch even though that means another 10-min drive for me.”

“Alright Bank branch, sometimes gets crowded but Bank manages well. They never have small safety deposit box when you ask. No waitlist system, only advice is call us later. If you need one head over to a branch which has one. Currency conversion rates are terrible if you are depositing foreign currency checks.”
