Metro Music is a favourite Ottawa small business and a real treasure trove. It is mostly about guitars and has a great selection of acoustic and electric guitars, Seagull guitars, gear, amps, small sound systems, and lots of Made in Canada products. They also have a great selection of other musical instruments and accessories. The shop offers lessons in guitar, theory, drums, piano, bass, and beginner ukulele and mandolin. They have instruments available for rent. The customer service is second to none, with excellent service and knowledge. The staff provides helpful and knowledgeable advice with a strong personal touch and no upselling or pressure. They are always pleasant, helpful, and careful listeners. The priority is customer satisfaction, inviting customers back for tune-ups and check-overs after a purchase. The service is patient and considerate, taking time to ensure a perfect fit.
Amazing service, Danielle was amazing. Had my guitar set up here and very pleased with the results. The honesty is enough for you to come and check this place out. Whisper the dog is also adorable.

A little late to post this, but I bought a great little acoustic guitar on my birthday as a treat to myself last year, the price was great, the conversation and company were great and the lovely dog was the icing on the cake! Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a guitar for sure!

I have been dealing with Metro Music for over a decade and have purchased three guitars here. What I really value about this store is the expert advise I get. It really pays off and actually helps my playing. The store’s long term commitment to Canadian made guitars is just phenomenal. Highly recommended.
