I came in the store a few times to look at hand planers And I saw a Stanley Number seven labelled for $26 and when I came to check out, it was $53 if you buy something there, check the label I ended up not buying it and wasting my time

Big shout out to Matt. I needed a replacement cartridge for a discontinued American Standard bath and shower kit. I contacted American Standard with no luck, then a listed supplier with no luck. Should have called Preston Hardware first. Matt did some checking and got back to me when he said he would, and was able to special order the cartridge. Preston Harware come through again. Thanks.

GO TO OFS INSTEAD! Went yesterday for a compressor in a pinch as mine blew. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a store. The guy working behind the pneumatics desk and I quote “couldn’t tell ya I don’t know much about em” when I asked if one of the electric makita would run my nailer (probably shouldn’t be in pneumatics) after buying the compressor that couldn’t drive a nail for $700 I had to rush back. I called the store asking to have the $2000 rolair brought to the front to save me time on my exchange. The first person who I asked on the phone transferred me to electrical, he then started lecturing about how I’m calling the wrong department (I didn’t call a department you transfer me) so instead of just walking out and doing their job it was a game of pass along no one’s job was to move this thing. So I hung up went in did it all myself no worries, walk over to the sign saying returns to get started. Girl at the cash packed up her lunch and left. Richard and another employee just sat infront of me hands in their pockets for 5 minutes until I looked up and said so should I just go somewhere else or what? Richard who I believe is the manager said well yeah she took lunch can’t help you here. Pretty sure if you’re the one who approved the return you can run it through the cash. That was the most ridiculous experience of my life and as it was my first visit I will drive an extra 20 minutes to ofs before I go back to your store.

We were in the showroom and discussed options for a kitchen sink and faucet. We received info on various options and then left so that we could review and measure our cabinet to ensure we purchased the correct units. We later called the store on a Thursday and ordered both items through a salesperson and requested delivery on Wednesday of the following week. We had contractors already start the project so receiving the items on the promised date was crucial to our kitchen reno. On Monday morning, we received a call from the same salesperson that the sink was out of stock. This was a major setback to our reno and required us to scramble to find a similar sink in the area. We can only assume they sold our sink on the weekend to someone who was in the store.
When the faucet arrived, it was clearly an 'open box' return item. Although all the components were in the box, the faucet clearly had been taken out of the box, handled and replaced in the box backwards. Also the small boxes of components were torn open.
We wanted to shop local but I would not recommend dealing with this company given the above underhanded way of doing business.
