Scotiabank is a wonderful place to do banking, providing great and efficient customer service. The staff are friendly, polite, professional, knowledgeable, and proactive, often going out of their way to help. They handle things with patience and offer in-depth financial advice. The branch offers full service banking, mutual fund investment, and has ATMs, though access is not 24 hours. It is not very busy at all times, though there is a line sometimes. The location is appreciated, particularly when in the downtown core, and it is noted for being dog-friendly. Scene points are a plus. Many customers report an amazing experience.

Staff here need more training. It took almost an hour to close an account, with endless questioning, even though I had provided all the necessary IDs. Scotiabank also charges around $11 just to close the account.
