I went to the Telus shop over the weekend to add Device Care to my newly purchased Google Pixel 8 Pro. I was welcomed by an employee and told him my request. He was able to assist me from start to finish in about 5 to 10 minutes. It was very quick and I felt I didn't have to exert any effort into solving my issue.

Be VERY careful doing business in this location. They prioritize getting their sale over everything, including honesty and competence. They talked me out of using the web store because they could get me a “better deal” by shopping in person. That was a lie. I received the exact same rates as were available online. They then managed to completely screw up the transaction to the point that I’m three weeks in to trying to get it resolved and still working on it. Their response to their errors has been indifferent, and then outright hostile. They have repeatedly been dishonest about what is happening with my account, and have left me taking several hours of my own time to correct the complete mess that they made. In fairness, the store manager was friendly, but made errors that caused problems with the transaction, and then made promises to correct the errors that were not honoured. She also did not communicate to her staff that she had committed to an action to resolve the issue, causing confusion and difficulty through the process. The Telus representatives over the phone have been shocked and dismayed when I explain the situation to them, and thankfully have acted appropriately to attempt to correct the errors made in-store. You are much better off to use the Telus online services and manage your account without the retail staff interfering. Unlike the staff in this retail location, the Telus corporate staff are competent and professional. That used to be the bare minimum, but in this location they can’t even manage that.

on my way up to ottawa for a family trip, we passed by peterborough to grab something to eat. I accidentally ended up closing the door of my car on my phone (it was in my pocket). Panicked, i realized that there was a telus at the mall.Jewel was so helpful in calming me and laying down the best option for my replacement phone. She set everything up for me, and even spent time with their customer service line to make sure i got the best deal out there. i’m very grateful that i was there during a horrifying situation. Thank you Jewel for making this a great time instead of a petrifying one !

Came in to do my Bring It Back and get a new phone. Apparently I was a day early (even though I had received an email from Telus telling me to bring my phone back). Staff took the screen protector off my phone (which has never been without one) then tells me sorry about my luck. No replacement phone or screen protector. SUPER unhelpful, not knowledgeable. Did everything over the phone - definitely didn’t need to waste 1.5 hours of my time / gas driving there.

Terrible service.The staff member lied to me and told me "We have great service in North Kawartha".They have near zero reception north of Peterborough. I'm paying for a service I barely use, 90% of the time I have to use wifi to even have a phone call, even right in town.I'm now paying $120 a month for a service I can't even use.My phone will be paid off in the next month and I'll be switching to a better provider.Hopefully this review can spare other people in my area from being ripped off by the shady service reps at this location.

More friendly as usual and it's helpful as possible was given a number to customer care to resolve an issue, call and was told it was over an hour wait! Wasn't prepared to wait over an hour. Customer service being a sensitive issue is not as well set out as it used to be. Sign of the times. Just like our liberal government.
