I have been showing a line of credit balance of $48,000 since Nov 10th. My balance should be zero. I've asked multiple times to have it corrected and 2 weeks and 1 day later, it hasn't changed.
I don't know what to do!

Rude Tellers at this bank, I can’t understand why they are so mean and miserable? I get they only make a little over minimum wage but change your jobs if your not happy, I’m switching banks because I can’t deal with them anymore, the one who sits behind the tellers face says it all, she’s very unhappy person.

All I wanted was to have my card replaced because I noticed a charge I did not make. They pressumtously asked for my driver's license and when told them I didn't have one, they snarkily asked for my passport which I also don't have. They continued to act like it was absurd to not have these things before they told me I had to report it to fraud. I didn't want the $11 back, I just wanted a new card so it couldn't happen again. So I call fraud and they cancel my card and tell me i have to go to the location to get a new card. I go through the same process again with all the assumptions, snarkiness and just plain indignant attitude. At this point I'm locked out of my account and I am being told there is nothing I can do about it, so naturally I start getting a little upset and the lady told me not to. Absolutely obsurd! Of course I get more upset simply because she would say that instead of telling me she would see what options she could come up with. The supervisor gets involved as well as the other cashier that was busy with her own customer. All three of them were stepping up to the plate to argue with me. Not a single one of them tried to diffuse the situation or provide me with any options. I shouldn't have to give them my full life story and tell them about my disability and my treatment and how that makes it hard for me to not get upset. The funny thing is they have signs about respect yet they didn't show any from the moment I walked up to the cashiers they were pressumtous and rude. Unrelated to the branch specifically, the employees I spoke to on the phone with scotiabank were kind and compassionate for my situation but they also told me there was no resolution but at least they treated me like a human being unlike the employees at this branch. So I will borrow money from family to go get ID that is acceptable and instead of getting a new card I will be closing the account. This interaction has me wishing I let the the fraudulent charge go and just let them steal all my money instead of go through all this. I've been with the bank for 17 years, i was able to answer all the security questions for them to access my account and they still gave me no options.

I have never had my money held hostage before and been told I can’t have it by a bank before. They were able to cash the cheque I deposited and got the funds but would they grant me access…no! I’ve never had the displeasure of dealing with such an incompetent manager in all my life. If she’s not telling you no through the tellers she’s ignoring your phone calls.

This branch refused to help us deal with our Late Grandmothers bank account after she passed away. ?They told us her home branch had a hold on the account. ?The home branch told me that there was no hold on the account. ?Renfrew Branch was aparently told by the Home Branch that there is no hold on the account and to help us. But Renfrew Branch refused. ?I would never do business with this branch again after that experience. It was so stressful for my Cousin dealing with their lack of cooperation that she ended up having multiple strokes and was hospitalized. ?Next time a customer dies and the Executors of your customers will need help, provide the help you are legally required to provide.I was this close to getting our Lawyer involved. I am still considering this due to emotional duress, pain, suffering and financial hardship caused by their lack of cooperation. If someone at this branch reads this, you owe us both a sincere apology and you know it.

This bank discriminates against people with disabilities, even thou I had a lot of equity in my home they would not afford me the same benefits as higher income clients previously a financial officer there stated People with disabilities and low incomes should not own houses they can't afford. This time they told me I should get a husband or another income. I owe 56,000 on my mortgage and my house is bank appraised at 398,000. Finally they said they would give me an equity line of credit lower interest loan but it would not exceed the money owed from my personal line of credit. So no new money, even though I'm putting my homes equity on the line. I pay my bills, I have excellent credit. This bank and their underwriters simply discriminated against me because of my low income disability. I feel they wanted me to sell so they could screw someone else over with their high interest mortgages. Mine a five year fixed very low rate. This bank works for profit screwing everyday Canadians. When my mortgage renewal time comes I will be leaving this discriminatory bank.
