Attended for lunch on wife’s birthday, went in jovial and positive. Was served meat, which very unfortunately had an obvious stench of rotten meat. Very quietly very politely brought it to the servers attention. She then persisted to argue loudly and then turned her back and had no further communication with us. We after some time were forced to walk up to the counter to pay the bill, even though our entire plates were left on the table Uneaten. I’ve never experienced this level of disgusting service and disrespect.
Paid the bill never to return again

The little known secret is the butcher has great bargains; pork belly for best value, and yes please a block of cheese!

The food is great. The wines are ridiculously overpriced. Some Niagara wines offered in the $50 to $60 range would be a welcome addition. The atmosphere is really noisy. We found ourselves shouting at each other just to have a normal conversation.

Great atmosphere staff is great
My only complaint is the price of beef from the butcher shop is way overpriced
It was $60 for a striploin
I’ve had good ones from there. This particular one wasn’t very good at all. That was a five dollar steak in a $60 package.

The food was very good but not for the reason I was expecting. They seem to be known for their meat being high quality and delicious but the meat was my fourth favorite thing that I had there. The sticky toffee pudding was the best dessert I've had in a very long time. I would go back just for that any day. The zucchini dish was insane, it was a flavor combination I haven't had and loved every bite. Then all of the sauces on the meat were better than the meat itself. We had the mixed grill so maybe if you got a specific cut it would be different.

Had a great experience at Fat Rabbit lastnight. Service was on point and very attentive. Porterhouse steak was cooked perfectly. A nod to the summer slaw and squash dish, both were excellent.
We celebrated a birthday and there was even a birthday card waiting for us at our table! A nice little touch to make the night even more special.
Thank you so much for the great hospitality. We will definitely be back.

Frankly, one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. Red meat is our main food group, so right off the hop ~pun intended~ we were pleased. The charcuterie and cheese selections—though spendy—were exceptional.
Our rib steak was cooked to heavenly perfection. Every bite was a full experience of its own. It was a moment I wanted to last forever.
It was my husbands birthday, so they offered their famous sticky pudding for a dessert. Honestly, I never would’ve been tempted by that on a menu. Not my usual go to. Until now …. In all seriousness, that was one of the most divine desserts I have ever had. I ACTUALLY heard angels singing.
Save your money and go to Fat Rabbit. It’s worth every penny.
Oh, and the staff were all delightful.

A Meat Lover’s Dream at Fat Rabbit
If you love meat, Fat Rabbit is a must-visit. It’s part butcher shop, part restaurant, and 100% amazing. We started our evening with cocktails and a beautifully assembled charcuterie selection — generous portions of cured meats, pâté, and local accompaniments that set the tone perfectly.
For the main course, we shared the porterhouse steak with two sides. Cooked to perfection, the steak had that ideal balance of char and tenderness — easily one of the best cuts we’ve had anywhere in Niagara. Every bite reminded us that this place takes its butchery seriously.
We couldn’t resist ordering a round of cheese to go, and it was the perfect way to bring a bit of Fat Rabbit home with us.
The service was friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere was warm and unpretentious — think elevated comfort without any stiffness.
The final bill for two came to just over $400, and honestly, it felt worth every penny. Between the quality of ingredients, the craftsmanship behind the food, and the overall dining experience, Fat Rabbit delivers a truly memorable night out.
Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates exceptional meat, great company, and a place where passion for food shines through every plate. Oh and I highly recomend the sticky toffee pudding

We got the burger which was great and we started with the pickle plate that was recommended by our server and it was fantastic way better than we imagined. The sourdough was soft and yummy. Our server was very helpful!

Drove up from Toronto to give it a try. The environment was cozy and kid friendly. We ordered one large plate, the mixed platter, zucchini, and potatoes and it was very filling for 2 adults and 2 kids. The kids loved it too and didn’t need to eat off the kids menu for once. Service was friendly and not pretentious like the restaurants in downtown Toronto. The dishes were simply plated but the tastes of everything was perfect. The spice level and grill perfection makes every dish tasty.
Next time I would probably just do 2 small plates so we can try the dessert. We would be back!
