While waiting for a Stratford Festival performance in the summer of 2025, my husband and I discovered MacLeod Scottish Shop by chance. From the moment that we entered, we were warmly and graciously welcomed. Honestly, the atmosphere felt so welcoming, as though we had walked into somebody’s home. Which I am certain we can all attest is a refreshing contrast to today’s rushed, impersonal online or in-person shopping experiences lately. As a former retail manager back in the 80s, this certainly set the tone for me, and my experience right from the very beginning was something I truly respected and appreciated.
I lingered over their beautiful handbags for quite some time while being assisted with patience and genuine care. They even offered additional options from their storage room, with no pressure to buy. Though I left without a handbag, I purchased a Scottish Fine Soaps hand cream set and a liquid hand soap that quickly became my guests’ and my favourite.
My small purchase later led to a substantial online order, which included almost every scent from the Scottish fine soap company. It arrived impeccably packed, complete, and all with free shipping!
