“My absolute favorite grocery store simply because … read the labels. They carry many things with ingredients that are normal food items! Their store brand spaghetti sauce is tomatoes spices, garlic, olive oil etc.. , and it tastes way better than the national brands.. maybe due to the leaving out of the “extra””

“Stopped here while on fall break vacation on Lake Erie. Surprisingly big in both size and selection. We were able to get everything we needed, and the staff were kind and helpful. I can't comment on the prices since we're from Indiana, and we have not been anywhere else with which to compare.”
“Very good prices and well organized......but read the signs for prices carefully. The bacon was on sale for $1.99 for 8oz but the sign was under the 12oz bacon. THERE WAS NOT ANY 8oz BACON. If I had taken it to the register I would have been charged for the $3.99 per pack....READ THE SIGNS CAREFULLY.”
“The absolute audacity of the person below commenting one star because they wanted cuts from the deli with 4 minutes until close. The most basic unspoken social contract is that workers serve customers during hours. And we as the customers respect closing times. Or at least have common sense enough to recognize that they probably have to cut, clean, sanitize and count money or whatever else they have to do to close their department and leave their shift. Your inability to manage your time well enough to avoid coming in the last three minutes of a place which is open MORE than 12 hours a day is not their emergency. Go get a job where you work with the public. Guaranteed if you had one, you wouldn’t waltz into a store with under 4 minutes until close and waste your time by posting entitled comments like this.”
“After being up all night with my husband doubled over in pain, I needed to go out to find him some medication. None of the pharmacies near us are 24 hours anymore, so I had to wait until morning. It was Christmas eve and the internet said that Sobeys opened at 6am, sooner than anyone else. I was so relieved. I got there shortly after they opened and grabbed what I needed. I thanked the cashier for being available to work so early in the morning, especially on Christmas eve. She happened to mention that they weren't not even supposed to be open until 7, but a mistake was made on Google so they opened an hour early. I told her my situation and how incredibly grateful I was that everyone was there and wished her a Merry Christmas. Thank you Sobeys for coming to my early morning rescue.”
