“Amazing experience! Tina was super helpful and positive. She took the time to figure out what I liked and suggested new dresses based on my vision. The studio is beautiful, they have a really nice set up which makes it easy to quickly take dresses on and off to maximize your time. I am so happy I decided to go to blu ivory! Could not recommend more! They have a nice variety of classic and unique dresses to really let you find the perfect dress.”

“Unfortunately, while the other consultants we interacted with were lovely, welcoming, and incredibly helpful, our experience with one particular consultant was very disappointing. She was a young woman with curly hair.
From the beginning, her attitude came across as rude and unwelcoming. At one point, she told my friend and me, who were there as the bride’s cousin and sister-in-law, to “sit down” rather than allowing us to browse the dresses. The way she spoke to us felt unnecessarily dismissive and made us feel as though we were in the way.
The most uncomfortable moment came when I commented that I personally didn’t like one of the dresses my sister-in-law was trying on. She immediately responded, with an attitude, “But the bride likes it.” There was absolutely no need for the comment or the tone in which it was delivered. We were simply sharing an opinion during what should have been an exciting and enjoyable experience for the bride.
It’s worth noting that the other staff members were wonderful, which made the contrast in customer service even more noticeable. Bridal appointments should feel welcoming, supportive, and positive for everyone involved. Unfortunately, this particular consultant made the experience unnecessarily uncomfortable.”

Aside from the customer experience, they are also very knowledgeable and accommodated all of our requirements.

“I drove 7 hours to Papilio from the States three times over and have zero regrets. I found Papilio online years ago and fell in love with their elegant yet softly delicate styles. I knew I would be looking for matches to their style if I didn’t go to them and decided to come in instead of wasting time at other boutiques.

From the first appointment of choosing a dress, to the fitting appointment, to final fitting and pick up, Papilio was a pleasure to work with. Private appointments were peaceful and I never felt rushed through the selection or alteration process, unlike other boutiques I tried and found to be pushy on style and price.

The result was a delicate and beautifully stunning gown - a dream come true. Every concern and question was met with attention and clarity. The seamstress did an incredible job hemming and touching up the gown with any follow up requests I had. This gown truly fit like a glove with couture quality and all my friends agreed my three trips had been worth it!

I highly recommend taking some photos of your dress during fittings to see how it photographs and looks from other angles. The photos were very helpful to come back to when you’re a bit more clearheaded and help communicate about desired alterations. Papilio was a wonderful and patient partner through the whole process and I couldn’t recommend them highly enough!”

“Catherine made my dreams come true on my wedding day! I am so grateful for her work. The dress fit PERFECTLY and I was thrilled. Catherine is extremely transparent with her pricing and her prices are a great deal - it costs less than many store-ordered dresses especially since those always need alterations. She makes all sorts of styles for all body types and her work is truly as great as it looks on her website. Having the dress custom made was such a fun process and the fit was absolutely perfect. Catherine is amazing and its great how she limits decisions to just 1-2 choices per each fitting so it's a relaxed and fun process. I would give 6 stars if I could! If you notice, all the reviews on here are 5 stars except one random idiot who did not even have a dress made with her. Catherine was also able to make my dress in under 5 months and I was absolutely in love with the result!!”

I fell in love with one of the first dresses I saw, and the fact that they do alterations in-house. The variety across dresses, shoes, and jewellery was incredible and the decor was so whimsical!

The owner and staff were also very passionate!”

“I needed a dress for a wedding in three days and was in the absolute trenches at Eaton's looking for a decently priced + following the casual/ dressy dress code + dress suited for a shorter person. I got VERY lucky as a lot of dresses were on sale (end of both grad season + summer wedding season maybe?), and ended up getting mine for 20% off!!! Still, I could NOT have walked out there with a better dress without the help of the sales associate Seheran. She probably saw how desperate, lost, and stressed I was when browsing through the back of the store and pulled up with an IPad, and went through their ENTIRE catalogue with me. I swear this girl pulled out maybe 10 dresses for me to try on- but I'm so so glad she did, as I ended up with a dress SHE picked out and was SO certain would suit my body type + skin tone, even when I was in doubt. I would have never even thought to try it on myself, but in the end it was genuinely giving simple, but classical flowy Greek goddess.

Then, she got ANOTHER sales associate Hannah to help when I wanted recommendations on what bra type / boob tape / nipple covers would suit the dress the most, + got a bonus lesson on when to use each one. FINALLY, Hannah gave me recommendations on which shoe stores to hit up afterwards in the mall to get heels to match the dress- which I did find! I walked out of there not just with the perfect dress but with a MUCH needed confidence boost!!!”

“You are in good hands if Jasmine takes care of you. I couldn't give the boutique five stars because I found that the other staff were not very good. The woman was not helpful and told me something looked good on me when it was clear that it didn't . Jasmine was great. I really like the dress I chose to wear to the formal wedding. Jasmine suggested different ways to wear the dress. She was helpful and very friendly. AND I was REALLY impressed when I received an email following up to ask how the event was (with details that I had provided two months prior). Now that is great customer service!”
