I never write reviews on stores, however my encounter at H&M yesterday was something I had never experienced in my life before. Not only does this require public attention, but the store should reconsider who they are hiring as a brand and the implications their hires will have on their sales, as I for one will no longer be supporting this company. On November 10th at —-pm I walked up to the till to make an exchange, a sweater and a jacket totalling over 100$ were being exchanged for something approximately 50$. The employee proceeded to attempt to incorrectly charge me three times in a row, to which each time they were respectfully corrected. Had I not said anything I would have lost 80$. Not only did he not provide any remorse, he proceeded to give me attitude and behave as if he had never worked in customer service before. I thought that this hire was the odd one out and any other person on management would have seen his completely rude behaviour. However, his female coworker proceeded to laugh in my face when I pointed out he was giving me attitude, and provoke me and my mother who was watching the whole encounter. They were so unbelievably ignorant and rude that we ended up calling for a manager. And when he arrived it was clear that the staff in that store as a whole are ignorant, incompetent for their job, and they simply do not understand how to treat a customer. They were demanding, loud, aggressive, rude, and the manager provided completely no deescalation or remorse for the situation, yet proceeded to attack my mother to ask if she was recording. I am absolutely never again shopping at this or any other branch, and looking at the other reviews I am certainly not the first to have a negative encounter with the staff. This is completely unacceptable, we are in the 21st century and such practices and behaviours should not be accepted by a well known company like H&M.

Worst retail experience ever. It might be a one-off if I only experienced bad service from one staff member, but with three lousy staff members… there’s definitely something wrong here.
1. The first staff member pointed me in the wrong direction. I asked where the plaid skirts were, and I was told to go one level down (DUH, THAT WAS THE HOME SECTION) and was definitely not willing to entertain further questions.
2. The second staff member was initially helpful. I was looking for three specific items and showed her the item codes. She only found one and said there was no stock for the other two, but I found them myself when I went around the store. LOL.
3. The third staff member couldn’t be bothered when I asked for a different size and didn’t want to assist me unless I went to the counter. Plus, her unfriendly demeanour is definitely not up to par with what a customer-facing employee should be.
4. When someone said they were going to get me another size, I waited for more than 10 minutes, only to follow up and be told that there was no size available. 🙄

Misleading and inconsistent policies. Employees that do not wish to help and the store manager is okay with that.
I returned multiple H&M Home items that I bought online in the past months without an issue. Today, I was denied a refund and was told to go to Purolator across the street by the store manager. Ridiculous.
How do you not accept in store returns for something that you already sell in store?… The H&M app even has the QR code for the return. The logic is non existent

On 10/10/24 H&M at Eaton Centre Dundas really step up to the game. Very well organized event for members only. Fancy cocktails and charcuterie cups! Very elegant service and fabulous environment. The highlight of night was the gifts (Secret) I cannot tell you it's for secret members only. The macaroon table was so yummy. Also the staff was serving water in proper glasses..
Even though the store was packed! There were extra staff to meet every member demand. Oh one more! There was a sewing table to sew the H&M logo on whatever you bought can't beat that offer and yes it was free. Also the tall fancy cocktail tables for a moment my friends and I thought we were at a 5 star hotel.
And of course the store was clean as always.

I went in to my local store with low expectations, hoping to find a dress that I found online but was low in stock. After looking for quite a while, I asked a staff member on the floor on the off chance I had missed somewhere. Oh boy, did I regret it. I recieved an abrupt lecture about their theft levels, sales etc. Totally unnecessary.
