The Kitchen Table is a convenient local grocery store, open late, serving the Forest Hill village. It has a small store feel but carries a surprisingly wide range of selection, including a lot of produce, cooked chicken, plants, and other items like delicious cherry tomatoes. The fruit and vegetables are of superior quality and taste. The deli is good and the sandwiches are palatable and fresh. The place is clean and the staff are friendly, helpful, and courteous, creating a nice atmosphere. Parking on the street is available. It is an important and pleasurable part of the neighborhood, though prices are higher than big box stores and can be steep or expensive for some staples, making it a shop of both quality and convenience.
My everyday go to store since 1980 when the original Loblaws closed,. Great fresh food, dependable staff and a feature of The Village. I am sad to see it close but hope that the new operator will keep the same staff on.

INCREDIBLY HANDY AS IS OPEN LATE HOURS, AND CARRIES ALOT OF PRODUCE & COOKED CHICKEN AND PLANTS, WHICH ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO IGNORE. PRICES ARE OF COURSE HIGHER THAN BIG BÒX STORES. AND IT IS 'FOREST HILL'. BUT IT'S VERY IMPORTANT PART OF LIVING IN A ""VILLAGE"".
