“Lots of variety, and nice store, friendly staff I have bought lots of products and mostly am happy but a few times I have got meats that tasted off. Please just double check dates . I bought turkey and it was packed on the same day as best before..my fault for not looking but meat was spoiled. I have purchased pork that smelled off too. I had to throw it unfortunately”

I also buy Wagyu beef once in a while to treat myself, the tenderous and the fat evenly melted inside my mouth.
I used their hanger steak or boneless short ribs to made beef wellington, the result was pretty good as well. Highly recommend”

“Stopped by Peters Food Shop for some real NOT in a plastic bag with some kinda gross fluids, chemicals and who knows what else authentic corned beef brisket for St. Paddy’s day dinner. OUTSTANDING. The meat AND the service. I had a great conversation with the friendliest fella you’d want to meet that I was served by that even included some helpful cooking tips that I took advantage of and the meat turned out just perfect. Best corned beef brisket I have had in 50 years. The shop is about 40 minutes from my home but has proved well worth the trip. I’ll be heading back there sooner than later.”

“Just came here for the first time as I was looking for bone marrow for a recipe, and I was stunned at the high quality of the meats. Just visually the marbling on their cuts of steak was phenomenal, at market value prices. Not to mention that staff was super nice and attentive and even cut my marrow into halves for me. I used to do my steak shopping at Longos but I think I’ve found my new butcher here!!”

“I’ve been going there for over 20 years , food is amazing kabab, chicken… I sent probably over hundreds of people to the store through out the years and they are now regulars .BUT lately prices are high specially fresh meatU can’t put prices away higher that the other meat markets in the area !! I know everything is up but ur prices doesn’t make sense”
“Had the most delicious cordon blue chicken… thought I was ordering the individual serving ones but it was like a roast… cooked it as per the directions and carved it up. 30$ and fed at least 6 people. Really yummy. All their stuff is great. Another customer said their pork souvlaki were delicious so will try those next time. Really a beautiful butcher shop. Worth a visit.
Note re the Mongolian beef kabobs that a customer found inedible… they are! But we figured it out. As soon as we get home we wash all the marinade off them. Then they’re very good. Still a bit spicy but very tender.”

The quality instantly took me back to the taste of fresh mountain lamb from the Alborz highlands — absolutely outstanding. I had never seen lamb this good here before; I honestly thought the breeds available in Canada just weren’t capable of this quality.”

They have so much variety of high quality products, I always find myself trying out a new jam or cracker brand. I frequently come here for the meat due to the quality and exquisite taste. “I was hosting a large BBQ and purchased 40 lbs of lamb chops, 20 lbs of boneless chicken and 5lbs of beef ribs. I had a great experience to be honest. I am surprised about all the negative reviews, I had a pleasant experience in every visit.

“My family and I have been coming here for many years now. It is the only place we buy our freshly made frozen meats and meals. The owner is very helpful and will explain to you how to cook each item that you choose to purchase. The quality of ingredients used is top notch and not filled with all those extra fillers you would find at other shops. I will not go anywhere else except to Lin's Taste. My father loves the GIANT siu mai here and the tofu skin rolls filled with shrimp is a personal favourite. Remember to bring cash ! They speak Cantonese and Mandarin here as well. I can not read Chinese but they have the menu in English which I am so grateful for. Support a local small business that is woman owned. I look forward to my visits each time.”
