“Mary and Sylvie are wonderful representatives for Canada Post. They go out of their way to help customers send packages. So appreciate their kindness to seniors. UPDATE: Thank you Mary and Sylvie for helping me pack up a large parcel heading to Wolfville. I fractured my wrist this summer and it was difficult to tape up. You two are such great empathetic women.”

“Thank you, Patrick!!!
I’ve always had great service at this Canada Post location (Sparks Street in downtown Ottawa) but today was especially great: It was 5:00pm as I got to the door to enter and I was greeted by an employee who was just about to lock up for the day. I asked if I was too late. He asked what I needed. I told him I just needed a pre-paid shipping box and brought me in to serve me. I knew he probably just wanted to go home but he helped me out. I told how much I appreciated him. Canada Post has a great example of customer service in Patrick.”

“I have an online business with postal parcels shipped to customers - mostly to the USA - but also to other places around the world on a regular basis. Therefore I am constantly at the Alta Vista Dr post office on behalf of my business. Service is always very good from everyone who serves me. Katie is particularly very efficient, knowledgeable and personable and has gone out of her way to get answers to my business related questions.”

“I have always had such great experiences with the staff at this Canada Post. Even when I'm not in the best mood waiting for packages the staff continuously goes above and beyond for me and I appreciate it so much! The day staff is great but I usually deal with Johnathan at night he's usually by himself with a large line dealing with everyone as quickly as possible with a smile. Really exceptional service!”

“Waiting up to 24 hours for a package to be processed is somewhat annoying, but the staff are always nice and helpful. They could do a better job at labeling the sender (I often get either the name of the sender's city or even just the courrier's name)”

“Honestly, I think some of the bad reviews here are just culture shock in action ? The Canada Post staff at this location are Chinese — and if you’ve ever been to a dim sum spot or traveled in China, you know the vibe: less chit-chat, more get-things-done ?

They might not greet you with big smiles or persuasive small talk, but when I dropped off my package, they were super quick, helpful and efficient. Different cultures have different ways of interacting — not better or worse, just different. Think of it as “dim sum service style”: fast, focused, and no-nonsense. ??

So don’t mistake quiet efficiency for rudeness. They’re actually very helpful… just with a side of steamed buns instead of small talk ?”
