I recently had an experience with this butcher shop that proved exactly why they’ve earned my trust. I had pre-ordered a 2lb A3 prime short rib for a special dinner with my in-laws. When I came in to pick it up, and the cut wasn’t available. Mistakes happen, but what really stood out was how professionally and sincerely the staff handled it. They immediately apologized, took ownership of the issue, and assured me they would have the cut ready the next day.
What happened next is what truly impressed me: the store clerk offered me high-quality Australian boneless short ribs as an alternative—at the same price—and even doubled the amount for free to make up for the inconvenience. Their generosity and customer-first attitude turned what could’ve been a stressful situation into a genuinely positive experience.
The meat was fantastic, the service was exceptional, and their commitment to making things right was above and beyond. This is the kind of business that values its customers and stands behind its word. I’ll absolutely be returning—and recommending them to everyone I know.

“Made my first visit after reading all the great reviews. Made several purchases as I wanted to try everything. I cooked up a couple tenderloins for dinner and wow, totally unexpected! In terms of tenderness, probably the best I ever had…even over restaurant quality. And taste…double wow as it was super flavourful and buttery. It melted in my mouth.
I made several other purchases and can’t wait to try them. The staff was also very helpful and friendly. This place is Definitely a gem! I will definitely be visiting frequently.”

“Stopped by Peters Food Shop for some real NOT in a plastic bag with some kinda gross fluids, chemicals and who knows what else authentic corned beef brisket for St. Paddy’s day dinner. OUTSTANDING. The meat AND the service. I had a great conversation with the friendliest fella you’d want to meet that I was served by that even included some helpful cooking tips that I took advantage of and the meat turned out just perfect. Best corned beef brisket I have had in 50 years. The shop is about 40 minutes from my home but has proved well worth the trip. I’ll be heading back there sooner than later.”
“Butcher’s that care. They are happy to vacuum seal meat including complimentary seasoning. As someone who sous vide this is very helpful as I don’t need to buy a proper vacuum sealer.
Service is friendly, knowledgeable and all their pre marinated products are excellent. Their fresh burgers are excellent as well although a touch pricey at $5.
My only real complaint is they aren’t open mon to Wednesday. I’ve tried the larger butchers and really appreciate the smaller size of this butcher. I previously wrote they did not carry burger / hot dog buns. They now do, perfect one stop shop to bring good stuff for a friends bbq or a quick meal!

“Love the Honey Glazed Ham Company !! The best hams available over other Hams out there at other stores. A one of a kind shop. We order every year for all our special family days as well as most Holidays and they never disappoint, all our friends and family members ask for us to bring the ham to the parties. We have even been asked to take some centre sliced ham out to BC in an upcoming visit to family. In spite of sometime long lines to pick up orders we get the best customer service from those lovely ladies serving the customers. Cannot give enough praise for quality of food and service. I'd give them 10 Stars on here if there was a choice!!”

All the brampton famous ornknow meat shops sell frozen boneless goat meat and meat that’s been sitting awhile (not sold). I got 3lbs and the goat meat was red in colour and not frozen. Excellent quality”

“Ok, i know this place is not where Canadians with a non-latino heritage would go shopping, but hear me out. If you are in that group, please do not hesitate visiting this place. The butcher counter is to die for; really good quality meats, nice cuts that you cannot find just about anywhere (i'm talking to you, vacio and peceto), and it's very likely you are wound up to try a different cut that would not be usually served in your average north american butchery (and i assure you, you will like it). And, if you DO have latino background, what are you waiting for? this place has everything (quite literally; they even have powdered drinks like clight, tang and others, which we latinos know we cannot find anywhere else here in Ontario). They also have a bakery with baked goods, churros, alfajores, facturas, sandwiches de miga (tea sandwiches, tramezini), empanadas, tartas, you name it. It's ***BUSY***, especially on weekends, so go there with plenty of time. They speak english, so they will be able to help you if you don't speak spanish. Must try!”
