Went for the Festival of Lights and it was spectacular. Definitely a trip worth taking when your here for it. The train ride was a hit with the kids and the Christmas tree was enormous and beautiful. It took about 3 hours to walk the majority of the lighted walkways. There were vendors and rest rooms. Fireplaces to warm up.

I absolutely adore our city park. It's beautifully maintained in all seasons and offers a multitude of activities, like walking, running, birding, cricket, splash pad, etc. it's also hosts tennis and lawn bowling clubs! Oh, and don't get me started on the holiday lights!! As someone who did not grow up in Windsor, I am so impressed and grateful for this park less than a km from my home.

I visited Jackson Park the day after Christmas to see the lighting decorations, and it was absolutely stunning! The lights were beautifully arranged and created a magical atmosphere. However, the park was quite overcrowded during peak hours, which made it a bit challenging to fully enjoy the experience. I’d recommend visiting during off-peak times for a more peaceful experience. Overall, it’s definitely worth a visit during the holiday season!

This is one of my favorite parks in Windsor, the vast green spaces allow for lots of birds and squirrels to live, and the thick trees are relaxing. Although it is surrounded by two main roads, walking through it will not make you feel noisy. During the Christmas season, Jackson Park also spends much budget on creating delightful light displays for the citizens of Windsor. The downside is that parking is always an issue when you go to view the light show each year. Carpool is recommended for multiple people to go together, or look for possibilities in the parking spaces at the school in the back.
