We stopped by to get advice on the condition of our spare tire (they assured us our spare was full size and road ready) and they also patched up the original tire very quickly for an affordable price. “Brindle Automotive must be in the top 3 for a non-dealer Volvo specialist in Toronto. It’s owned/run by a former Volvo dealer master mechanic and in the last decade I’ve brought 3 different models in to see them, after a friend recommended them for when my warranty coverage was up. Blunt honesty & 100% reliable, plus fairly priced and no surprises. Don’t expect a fancy waiting room or a magazine rack next to the coffee machine. Its like some of the best restaurants, a hole in the wall place you wouldn’t notice if you weren’t looking for it. But absolutely worth it, at Brindle I’m confident he’ll (Brian or Bryan I think?) explain what’s the issue, why something needs to be done and/or the possibilities of waiting, what my options are and what he suggests (rarely the most expensive choice), plus the cost in advance. The owner isn’t looking to upsell and understands the value of a dollar. I’m not one for posting reviews but this place deserves it. One issue is booking, he’s extremely busy and there’s no online system or anything. I’d suggest your best bet is to call him on a Friday or Monday and see if he can fit you in that week or next. You won’t regret it.”

“This is a Greek-Canadian family run business started by the father Besile and now run by sons George and Stavros. I used a Groupon for wheel balancing for $69. I was on time on a weekday and there was no waiting. Stavros worked on my car. He advised me that my tires need replacement and showed me wear marks in them. He mentioned that my rear shocks were originals and may need replacement. George was quite talkative and kept me entertained. Their current shop labour rate is $100/hour which means no savings using Groupon. However this is one of the lowest rates in Toronto. They did not up sell me and were honest. Balancing was done in 40 minutes and then Stavros test drove the car. After the balance the shake in my steering was gone. Great work!”
