Budget Inn Albany is a budget-friendly hotel that offers basic but clean and spacious rooms. The building has a unique crescent shape with two stories, with the second floor located a few steps above parking level. Rooms are generally large, with features like a big refrigerator, microwave, TV, and a full-size bathroom with a tub. Many guests appreciate the room size and the presence of a sliding glass door leading to a patio or balcony, providing a bit of outdoor space. While the property's exterior may look outdated and somewhat dingy, the inside often exceeds expectations with clean rooms and friendly staff. The staff, especially the manager, is described as helpful, pleasant, and accommodating, making guests feel welcomed. One guest praised the woman they spoke to during booking for her friendliness and helpfulness. Some reviews mention the hotel feels geared toward long-term stays, with features like cement brick walls and a courtyard where guests can smoke or BBQ. However, the hotel has some drawbacks. The building’s age shows, and some guests mention noise issues from other guests and thin sliding glass doors. Internet service can be poor, and parking is first-come, first-served. Despite these issues, many guests found the hotel to be a good value, especially if they do not require strong Wi-Fi or plan to spend a lot of time in the room. Overall, Budget Inn Albany is a basic, inexpensive option with friendly staff and decent amenities.
The outside doesn’t do it much justice but the rooms are actually really nice and the price is even better. The rooms have a lot of space so you don’t feel cramped. Has a nice size fridge with separate freezer. Full size bathroom with tub. One whole wall is a window with sliding glass door.

This place has came a long way from the horrible reputation it upheld. The ppl that work here are extremely pleasant and accommodating. I see the amount of care that goes into maintaining this property and it's something to be admired. The manager Polly is the best, hats off to you sugar

The rooms and building are pretty outdated and appear to be a bit dingey, but I liked the sliding glass door / patio area in each room. Management is helpful, very pleasant and easy to talk to!
