“My brother and I had a great experience staying at the Phoenix Inn in Albany. The hospitality was top notch! The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the beds were so comfortable. As someone who never sleeps good in a hotel, I was sad to leave my bed there! We stayed 5 nights and every time we were in and out, we were greeted with super friendly, polite and helpful staff at the front desk. We were visiting family nearby with limited space, so we asked if we could utilize the breakfast area for evening snacks and were told to use any plates, silverware, microwave, etc. we needed. It worked out perfectly for our visit! We enjoyed a hot, delicious breakfast each morning that had a good variety of hot breakfast options, including delicious Belgian waffles. Next time we come back for a visit, I know where we’ll be staying!”

“The location was great! I was attending an event at the Expo Center and it was only a few minutes away. The staff were also excellent: very friendly and efficient, and the breakfast was one of the best I’ve had at a hotel. My room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Five stars on all of those fronts.

The only thing I wanted to mention for management’s awareness was the noise level in the room I stayed in (Room 201). Since it’s right off the lobby and near the pool entrance, there was quite a bit of foot traffic and conversation outside the room, which I understand given it was a busy weekend. The bigger issue was that the room also shares a wall with the elevator, and the noise from that was very loud and pretty constant.

I’m usually a very deep sleeper, but between the elevator and lobby noise, the room was rarely very quiet, and I cant say I had the most restful stay because of this. I know this may just be specific to this room—others in my group said their rooms were nice and quiet. I don’t usually write reviews, but I wanted to share the feedback in case it’s helpful for management. It might be worth considering a different use for that particular room.”

“I see quite a few bad reviews for this place.
Let me tell you, that was NOT my experience here! Unique crescent shaped 2 story bldg with 1st floor being sunk half below parking lot level & 2nd floor around 6-8 steps above parking lot. My room on the 2nd floor very clean & much larger than I expected. The shower was good, large refrigerator, microwave, nice TV, A/C with remote control, no sign of any bugs, quiet the one night I was there (Saturday)
The woman I talked to when booking the room and when I checked in was extremely friendly and helpful, she told me if there was anything that I needed to call her and just seemed to be a really good human.
All in all I was impressed!”

“This was our getaway during Linn County Fair. It was nice to be able to relax in the pool and have a room with air conditioning to escape the heat. The staff were friendly and quick with a solution whenever there was a slight issue. The beds were comfortable and the place is clean. I was surprised by how much was included with breakfast. Gotta love a place that has waffles, eggs, biscuits and gravy, and the breakfast meats!”
