“I'm from out of town and needed a nearby pharmacy to pick up a prescription my PCP wrote at the last minute this morning. I saw a low a Yelp score here and was concerned reading the comments, but this was the closest pharmacy so went anyway. I had a good experience so wanted to balance out the 1-star reviews. Grace was the pharmacy tech who assisted me. She was quick, friendly, and informative. The store itself was very clean and spacious. No complaints from me!”
“I am rather old and have a hard time shopping by myself, It's hard for me to talk to people because I have a bad lisp. I had came in to get some strawberries since they were on sale and I couldn't find them. A young man working there noticed I needed help and he was very kind and patient with me. He apologized for not having the strawberries in the display, he went into the back and carried back 3 cases in his arm and even looked through and got me the best looking ones! He was very caring and understanding and made me feel as if I didn't have a lisp at all. He made me feel so welcome I had my son help me make this account and download this app or whatever you call it. believe his name was Joey in the fruits and vegetables section. if you see this thank you very much!”

“First off, I would like to start by saying that ANY of the reviews where people complain about long wait times for prescriptions, not having their medications in stock, anything to do with getting a prescription filled, I implore you to please take a step back and zoom out to what the actual problem is, and where blame actually lies, because I can absolutely without a doubt assure you, your issues are not with the staff. Would you be a happy bubbly, ray of sunshine if every single day when you walked into YOUR job, half your coworkers had either quit or were absent, but you still had the same amount of work to do, with less people to help you do it, essentially doubling your workload, that wouldn't set the tone for an incredibly high pressure stressful day? Of course it would. Maybe they didn't have your medication in stock. Well, I really don't know how people actually think it's the pharmacists fault. Lots of medications are having GLOBAL supply issues, the pharmacists are not the ones that can control whether or not certain pharmaceutical companies can make more odds”

“this review is meant specifically for the wonderful people in the fred meyer bakery! I ordered a custom cake on Thursday for pickup on Sunday. My expectations were low as we were ordering a cake from a grocery store, but they completely blew my expectations out of the water! I didn't get a chance to speak with the cake decorator, but the note we left asked for a cake with frogs and toadstools. I'll attach a picture so you can see the finished product. This is the best cake I've gotten and will ever get, and for only 25 dollars!! I plan to go back to get another cake every year. To the lovely people at the Fred Meyer's bakery, thank you for making my 18th birthday special! You deserve a raise ;) whatever they're paying you it's not enough!”
“I recommend FM but definitely not the optical department/staff (except for the dr). ive complained to the store, to the corporate level of the optical company, etc. Was greatly encouraged by other staff members to call & file my complaints as they have issues as well. U know the service must b bad when its driving fellow employees to look elsewhere for employment. Very sad FM that u allow customer complaints to fall on deaf ears & u lose valuable, friendly employees & customers.”

“A beer writer I follow calls this location "The Unpopular Albertsons," and he's spot on. The place is just about never crowded -- maybe Christmas Eve and the first weekend of the COVID outbreak, but that's it -- and it takes forever for stock to turn over. I was last out here for Christmas and, since I'm now working from Oregon since the shutdown order, I've noticed that a lot of the holiday beer and seasonal items are STILL THERE. If it wasn't for COVID, none of the Valentine's Day items would've moved. This isn't great if you're a fan of fresh beer or hate seeing an entire day's production of baked goods get thrown into the clearance racks, but if you're a shopper here? Fan friggin' tastic. Everything's repeatedly on sale or clearance, you can wrap up your shopping in a reasonable amount of time and, if you steer clear of the self-check paddock, you'll be checked out of there in record time... conversation and all. I've watched this place do tweak after tweak for the better. It got rid of soda nobody was buying, an apparel section nobody was using, and a grill that did nothing but monopolize the front entrance. Instead, it now leans on its strengths: Cheap chicken Mondays, a dynamite bakery, shockingly good butcher department, the world's fastest Starbucks, a Freddy's quality wine department, and perennially overstocked ice cream and seasonal items. When the world isn't descending on it to hoard paper products and, for some reason, tortillas, it's the best supermarket in Hillsboro. I didn't stutter. F*** that overcrowded 185th Street TJ's, f*** the parking lot of death at Whole Foods, f*** the giant clusterfuck of a poorly designed shopping center combined with temporary tech employee customers at Sunset Freddy's, f*** the '50s throwback coolers and spoiled products at the TV Highway Safeway and Freddy's, f*** the one Grocery Outlet in this state that doesn't act like a Nordstrom Rack for New Seasons, and f*** the meanest, most clinically depressed New Seasons in the planet at Orenco -- and f*** its miserable, professionally transient shoppers even more. You should've transferred to Chandler instead, Intel drone. When all this settles down and life returns to some new form of normal, I eagerly await all the mouthbreathers returning to their WinCos and Bi-Marts of choice long enough for me to get a roll of paper towels and a six-month old pack of Jubelale at this still-unpopular Albertsons.”
“Checker Sophie was excellent when her lane got busy and most of us were patient, but a rude couple berated her and brought her to tears because they had to wait in line longer than they wanted. The couple even sought out the manager on duty trying to do whatever they could to get her in trouble. After watching this for about 5 minutes I couldn't help but step in and explain to these insensitive people that they were the cause of the entire incident and that they should apologize. Managers Ben & Abby remained poised and handled the situation admirably and told me they have lots of customers who treat them poorly. I realize this is a difficult time for a lot of people, but there is no excuse for being anything but kind to people who are serving you. I'm sorry Sophie and the rest of the staff for the stress that rude & unfriendly customers cause your work days. I respect and admire you all and will continue to shop at your store.”
