Lamplighter Inn by Vacasa is a charming and affordable accommodation located near the 101 in Bandon. It appears to be a former motel now managed through Vacasa, offering a variety of rooms including family suites and standalone units. The rooms are generally cute, clean, and well-appointed, with many featuring comfortable beds, plenty of outlets, and basic amenities like a microwave, fridge, and Wi-Fi. Some guests appreciated the decor and the spacious layout of the units, especially the two-bedroom, two-bath standalone units, which provided ample space and a fenced yard with a patio. The inn’s location is convenient, situated close to shopping, dining options, and downtown Bandon, with some guests noting easy walkability to local shops and attractions. Its proximity to the 101 allows for easy travel while remaining relatively quiet, and the property is pet-friendly. Guests also enjoyed amenities such as BBQ areas, picnic tables, and nearby activities like the Bandon boardwalk, making it suitable for casual travelers seeking a simple and affordable stay. However, there are some drawbacks. First impressions can be confusing, as the property is a former motel turned Airbnb, which was not clearly communicated online. Some guests experienced issues with customer service, especially for last-minute reservations, and found the front desk often unstaffed or difficult to reach. Parking is tight, and some rooms, particularly bathrooms, are small, basic, and not always clean—issues like water temperature problems, small size, and cleanliness concerns were noted. Additionally, some guests experienced security issues, such as unannounced entry into their units, and one guest reported arriving to find the front desk abandoned, which was disappointing. Overall, Lamplighter Inn offers a simple, budget-friendly stay with a few inconveniences that may be better suited for casual travelers who plan in advance.
Very clean, but quite noisy due to the one window facing the parking lot and the bathroom window facing a busy street and neighbors were smoking right outside our room. So we could not have the window open to get the fresh air.

My extended family and I (24 people) rented the entire Lamplighter Inn and had a wonderful time! We loved that each family unit could have one (or two!) rooms and each had a bathroom. We were glad to use the house part as our gathering spot for meals, to hang out or do laundry. Thank you for providing a spot for large groups... read full comment

Place was clean and cozy, didn’t see any staff and the location was ok.
