The estate is located on 68 acres and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The grounds are crisscrossed with walking trails perfect for dog walking. There's a playground to keep the kiddos occupied and it's just a great place to come and enjoy the environment.

Great place for kids at the extensive playground with parking right there, great to walk your dog, consider an event, lots of parking. It has a rhodo and perineal gardens as well, and stream running thru

Fantastic little place to take photos, but also a beautiful area to walk and see nature year-round. In summer the garden is full of bright flowers and in fall the leaves are gorgeous. Only complaint are the confusing signs throughout the two entrances. Despite always seeing lots of people walking dogs and running, it is still unclear to me when or if the gates to this place ever close.

This park is an absolute gem! The flowers are a riot of color, and the fragrance is enchanting. The pond is so peaceful, and the wooden trail offers a serene escape into nature. It's a slice of paradise right near the city!

Beautifully kept property. You get a mixture of gardens maintained by volunteers as well as natural forest. There is something there for everyone. Longer up hill trail for those who want some exercise, some flat shorter trailers through gardens for those with mobility issues and a playground for kids. Keep your dogs leashed. Not everyone who visits is great about keeping their dogs on a leash and picking up after them. I probably see at least one off leash dog when I go and I am there several times a week.Playground: Not too busy. Some unique structures.Restrooms: Port o pottyDog-friendliness: Keep your dog on a leash. Beware, many people do not keep their dog on a leash and cannot recall them as well as they think they can. If your dog is reactive or violent you will probably run in to an uncomfortable situation. You cannot always get away depending on where you are on the trails. Pick up after your dog. There are trash cans and bags at each parking lot and another trash can toward the bottom of the hill.Picnic area: Limited to upper parking and playground area. If you want to picnic elsewhere you need to bring a blanket or your own chairs.

We went for the Venezuelan cultural festival and had a blast. It wasn't too crowded which is a bonus for any event. There was live native music, arts, delicious foods cooked fresh on site. This year there was only one food vendor and I hope next year they have more. Late April and most of the rhododendrons were in bloom, just gorgeous! The buildings are historical and a lot of the gardens have old fashioned flowering trees and bushes. Dogs are allowed on leash as well. Definitely worth a trip in springtime.Restrooms: There are bathrooms inside the house.

The grounds are beautiful. Parking is free. A lot of the place is shaded. We especially loved the playground. It's uphill from the parking lot, but the ground is squishy soft. There are two toddler swings and bigger kid swings. Also, 3 tall slides, monkey bars, climbing ropes, and a little waterplay area for when it rains.

Large park with historical buildings, really picturesque! Nicely landscaped, but also has wooded area for hiking. Great place to take photos and enjoy the flowers: snowdrops, lilacs, rhododendrons. Has herbs garden and another enclosed garden used for educational purposes. Apple and pare grove. Always quiet and tranquil. One of my favorite outdoor spaces to visit.?
