An actual joke of a bank..
We recently took out a loan with this company when purchasing our sprinter van build. My husband and I have no experience in loans or financing related to this type of business and we really were looking for guidance and competent lenders to get this loan done correctly.
The loan contact we dealt with was named Katie. She offered to fund our loan but also offered to handle titling the vehicle for us. When we started our loan process, she seemed quite competent but as we started working on insurance timing and titling the vehicle, the ball was completely dropped. We later found out that Corporate (Tiffany) sent over paperwork to Katie to get titling done correctly and Katie per corporate, Katie did not follow up, did not sign the paperwork correctly, and hence when we came to pick up our vehicle, nothing was ready for us legally to get on the road.
The excuse Karen, the apparent branch manager, gave us as to why things weren’t done was that Katie was pregnant and on maternity leave for some of our loan process. It would make sense to me that when someone knows they will be gone on maternity leave that they would follow up or pass along any outstanding information or jobs that had yet to be completed to other coworkers. Maternity leave and pregnancy is not an excuse for why work was not done before maternity leave either.
We were very disappointed by the lack of response and remorse on the business side of things when we came to pick up our van. We spent the first three days after getting the van either at the DMV, coordinating with corporate to send us paperwork that should have been in our hands prior to the vans completion, and speaking to very rude and incompetent staff trying to figure out where the ball was dropped.
If a business drops the ball and apologizes then does things to make it right, I absolutely would go back to them. However, this bank did not do that. They not only dropped the ball, but they did not apologize. They made us feel like we did something wrong and we had to be the ones to sort it out. We have tried to contact them multiple times since October to ask about titling and loan fees with no follow up from Karen…again the apparent branch manager….
If you are looking for a bank to help you seamlessly take out a loan and make the process of getting a car, sprinter van, RV, etc. this is absolutely NOT the bank for you.

The staff at First interstate Bank are beyond helpful. I got cold feet about switching to another bank and cancelled my application, but my funds were still pulled and hanging in limbo. Joelle went above and beyond to help me, even though I didn’t have an account yet. I am happy to say that I will be doing all my banking with them from now on.

Customer for 31 years. Every time I need change they ask me for proof of this. And when I do get the change which takes three times longer at this location than the others it is often wrong. I have had several poor experiences at this location and won’t be back. The manager was condescending when I complained about the change policy. I will keep complaining. Banks need to serve community needs if they are to retain my support. I can take my five accounts elsewhere where they actually care. Thanks for all that kindness after my loyalty… NOT.

Alwaysssss have a great experience at this branch. Hands down the best branch in the bend-Redmond market! All tellers and bankers are so amazing.

First Interstate Bank on Hwy 20 in Bend has been friendly and helpful during the rapid decline of my parents’ health requiring me to take over their finances and ultimately settle their estate. Kellyn and Morgan both explained options in terms that I could understand and helped me set things up efficiently. When something could not be done for legal or other reasons, they provided alternative methods. They also provided a notary when my own bank of 30 years refused to do so. I did encounter tellers in this bank that were unfamiliar with how to do certain things that I needed but each time a coworker happily assisted and promptly had me on my way to do other things.

Great experience the other day at First Interstate bank! It’s so refreshing to see employees there are genuinely happy to be helping you with your transaction, and not just going through the motions like I’ve experienced at some other banks. The man assisting me (Austin I think) was friendly, helpful, and quick to complete my transaction. 10/10 experience.

Had an amazing banking experience with First Interstate Bank. The branch manager, as well as the employees are all incredibly helpful, kind, and provide a positive and professional environment to customers. Fast service and helpful assistance, I will be maintaining my business with First Interstate.

I wanted to use First Interstate and support smaller organizations in the community, however, this was a mistake. The Branch manager, I believe her name is Kellyn Brandt, unfortunately, did not present herself professionally. My husband and I wanted to open an account and Kellyn who was very inviting. Once we started the transaction, which took us hours and was input incorrectly, she angered and exclaimed that we treated her badly rather than taking responsibility for the paperwork input done incorrectly by First Interstate branch representatives. Our time is valuable and it did not seem to be the case with Kellyn. Rather than stating the customer is "always right" approach, her approach is, We are right, you are wrong...good-bye.Thus we took our business elsewhere. There are many choices.

Tried to open an account and it took the banker over 1 hour to make this happen. He made many mistakes and it all had to be rendered by another banker. Not worth my time. Opened another account at Wells in 30 minutes top. Try to support local, but sometimes, it just isn't worth it.

Great customer service. Much better rates than the too big of banks. Bankers are accommodating and are sincerely helpful.
