Sent in a very expensive cashmere zip sweater by Brunello Cucinelli whose two-way zipper had died. Just got the piece back and can't even see where the sweater was disassembled! Result is much better than I hoped it would be. Great job, Rugged Thread.Thank you!

I have taken a few items to Rugged Wear with very good repair results. With their minimum shop cost now being $25, they have lost a customer. I like keeping items out of the land fill and getting more use without replacing, but I'm going to investigate other forms of repair. Maybe rivets? I understand some of the new glues are very reliable. I just had a $10 item repaired for $25, no more of that.

Absolutely fantastic repair of a torn ski helmet strap, and the request was not straightforward. This kept a perfectly good helmet out of the landfill. Communication and pricing were clear and straightforward. This will be my first stop for softgoods repair.

Awesome service! I called before stopping by and was told it would be about two weeks to fix the zipper on my jacket, but they went ahead and fixed it in five minutes when I arrived! So grateful they did that because I wear this jacket every day. I will definitely come back For other repairs in the future, but I won’t expect immediate service again. That was just above and beyond. Thank you!

Solid repair work as always (I've used Rugged Thread on a number of repairs). My only complaint was their text system to notify me of job being complete didn't send, so I had to call to confirm it was done. Regardless, it wasn't that big a deal, I didn't need the item while it was out being repaired, plus they have the text notification system fixed. Again, a solid outfit if you need outdoor gear repairs, really nice folks, so I highly recommend them.

Amazing customer service!I was in town on business for 2.5 days, just happened to have a broken zippered item in the back of my car (storage place for no luck finding anyone in my home area to fix it). Stumbled upon Rugged Thread online & walked in Thursday afternoon, expecting a 2wk turnaround & the need to pay shipping costs to have it sent home. Pleasantly shocked to get a text Friday morning saying it was ready to pick up! Friendly & fast...unbelievable!Couldn't be happier!Thank you so much!

I had a really nice Helly Hansen ski jacket that had only seen a few seasons but the zipper was failing at the bottom. Some of the regular dry cleaner repair places were not so sure about replacing it with a water tight zipper so I found this company and felt like I was in much better hands. Had to ship my gear from California but was happy I did. Got my jacket back with a great new water tight zipper.

The good: In 2020, Rugged Thread completed an excellent repair on my backpack. Fast service. Excellent communication. The horrible: In 2023, although the website indicates a response in "3 to 5 days", it took seven days to get an initial reply. I sent requested follow up images and one week later, still cannot get an answer. Customer service is zero. Perhaps they are too busy to take care of customers. It doesn't matter if they do the best repairs in the world. It means nothing if they cannot take the time to communicate with customers.Find another gear repair option. Rugged Thread has ceased even attempting to communicate.

Amazing, quality service. Quick turnaround time and my jacket looks better than before. I had a faulty zipper on my favorite Kuiu jacket that Rugged Thread replaced with a much better quality one. Their work was clean and had high attention to detail. I’m so impressed and will definitely use them for future needed repairs. Thank you Rugged Thread!Service: Zipper replacement

Rugged thread did a factory warranty repair on some hardshell pants for me and did an incredible job. The repair was done so professionally it is better than when it was new. I will be keeping rugged thread in mind for any future repairs!

Had a pair of KUIU hunting pants that had been put through hell and back the past couple seasons finally blow a hip vent zipper. Sent them into Rugged for warranty repair and am blown away by the quality of the repairs. They not only replaced the zipper, but reinforced a couple of the high mileage areas like hems and seat. The fabric they patched the pants with and the stitching is flat out insane! I think they'll be tougher now than they were brand new. Going through my gear as we speak to figure out what else I can send in for a face lift. Stoked to keep high-end gear out of the landfill, and having repaired gear adds instant street cred in the mountains!

One star is all they deserve. That's because they paid to send my tent back. On 10-10-22 I sent rugged thread photos of my tent I needed repaired. They said it looks like it jest needed some TLC, and yes they can repair. 10-11-22 shipped tent to rugged thread, rugged thread received tent on 10-13-22. 10-19-22 rugged thread sent a quote. 10-31-22 I gave the ok to repair.Rugged thread stated looking at four weeks turnaround time. 12-9-22 emailed rugged thread on how repair is going, no reply.12-19-22 emailed rugged thread on how the repair is going, no reply. 12-20-22 emailed again on how repair is going, no reply. 1-9-23 emailed again on how repair is going, no reply. On 1-12-23 rugged thread emailed me and wanted a phone conversation. 1-12-23 talked to Kim the owner, she stated they are to booked up and did not want to repair my tent. One day shy from being 14 weeks they have had my tent with no repair and 4 emails with no reply. Kim also stated she did not want to get her shop dirty. Why advertise tent repair if you are afraid to get dirty, what a bunch of DAMN EARTH MUFFINS. I would not recommend Rugged Thread to have my socks repaired. It's people like this Oregon does not need! Very unhappy customer.
