Our Vanagon is so much quieter. We had no idea the noise was coming from the transaxle. We would highly encourage anyone with a noisy Vanagon to have their transaxle looked at by German Transaxle.”
“We took our 2005 Toyota 4-Runner in for a diagnosis of a whine coming from the engine and they found the problem was in the power steering system, a bearing and belt replacement were needed. They didn't charge for the time to diagnose the problem and gave us a printed estimate for the needed repairs.
Their service was excellent just as it had been 3 years ago when they did extensive work on the vehicle and they honored the quoted estimate. The customer service was above and beyond normal as the owner even provided transportation for us to get home while the car was being repaired.

“Coming here to add yet another review of this shop. I have now taken multiple personal vehicles (ranch life, you have at least two trucks plus a daily driver, it is what it is) and recommended countless friends, all of whom feel the exact same way about S&P as I do. So I felt it important to let it be known that I will never, ever, go elsewhere for a mechanic. They never over charge and always shoot me straight, a true unicorn situation. “After pulling our heavy 5th wheel from Texas, for a summer of fun in Oregon, our transmission fluid was getting hot and causing shifting issues in our Dodge Ram 3500. Original Bend T. got us in right away as we pulled into Bend. This was after a month of traveling up the Oregon coast and through Portland, having difficulty in finding anyone that could take care of us. My wife and I are grateful for the quick turn around time and of course, fixing the issue.”
