I banked with Wells Fargo for over 10 years. This past 2 years I have had not been great experience with the bank. My children received money from my parents for college so we put it in a CD we went thru a lot of computer glitches and ended up doing it on paper, they ended up taking taxes out of my child account… oops we can not give that back… at no time that was tax deduction discussed. The accounts were messed up it took an extra trip to straighten that out…. I found the experience unnerving… like maybe a computer glitch might lose our funds. Then 3 months ago I decided to take advantage of a new saving account that you bring in a certain amt of money from outside account. And you would get 4.6%interest. However my first statement gave me 0.25% interest. The local bankers filed paperwork to get that interest rate fix…. 2 month not fixed…Now I have totally lost faith. Pulled my funds out and placed in another bank.

I called several days ago and spoke to Vince about how to endorse a check that had my previous last name on it.Two days ago, the mobile app put a hold on it, as well as another check.I went to the branch yesterday and Vince approved the first check and pushed it through. He and Austin helped me get my account back in good standing. I was not expecting the second check to be able to be put through until Tuesday because of its needing to be verified. This morning, it cleared!Obviously, Vince spent more time on it after I left the branch yesterday. You guys are awesome! Thank you!In addition, there was a female teller (I’m sorry, I didn’t see her name) who was very patient and kind to the elderly customer she was helping.

Overall I've never had any major issues with this bank. Mostly the wait time is slow, but it's like that at every bank. My main issue is that their operating hours are ridiculous. They used to be open for shorter hours on Saturdays, and that was very appreciated as someone who goes to work before the bank opens and leaves work just before they close most days, now that they are open only during my working hours I can't ever get any service outside of using the ATM. I get that the change of operating hours is because of COVID and protecting staff etc, but this is a bit ridiculous because you are now closed off to a whole group of customers who can't actually use your services! This is a terrible business plan, and I hope you choose to revise your hours soon, or I will be revising where I bank, because I need to be able to access a teller from time to time.

What's the purpose of a bank that you can not deposit money... ATM deposit doesn't work

Stars above are a weighted average for Wells' various parts and offices. In my experience over time, the company's investment advisors walk on water. [5 stars] The tellers in this location and on Bend's Wall Street are invariably helpful and friendly. [5 stars] That said, I once tried to speak to the branch manager about a continuing problem with my checking account (a lack of corrective followthrough by his employees) and he seemed in no hurry to make himself available. [1 star] The mortgage department (on the east coast) made a fundamental mistake in considering my application, though true to form, Wells' investment advisor created a great workaround. [1 star for mortgage department] The Bend branch supervisors have twice responded well to my concerns. Both were very helpful. [5 stars] [Edited 18 Feb 22] The corporate Call Center was both unhelpful and disingenuous. [1 star] An "Executive Office Case Specialist" (customer service escalation person) was unhelpful and did not respond to requests for call backs. A second "Executive Office Case Specialist" was quick enough to respond, but unhelpful. [1 star] The company's top executives are inaccessible. I couldn't even find an email address for the CEO. [1 star] In fairness, when I have had issues with Wells, it happened to be during periods of national stress. The end of the Great Recession re a mortgage, and the Covid outbreak in the case of corporate customer services. [Edited 18 Feb 22]

This branch might as well close because it’s hardly open. There’s several instances in which it wasn’t a holiday and it was closed. I will be looking into a better local option for a bank.

They never answer the phone. I called several other branches just to test and they always answer every time. When you call this branch you get an automated response. The one time it sounded like someone did pick up they hung up, I called back and got automated response. Fire the lazy incompetent staff and hire someone who really wants to work.

I am fed up with WF's inability to service their customers needs. My spouse and I had deal with the fake accounts debacle with absolutely no proactive movements of any form from WF. Now, today, I go into this specific branch because it used to be convenient. Unfortunately there are NO bankers available when you go in and they expect you to make an appointment even for something that my credit union tellers can handle. Why would I want to keep banking at an institution that has done nothing but make the simplest things a controlling part of my day with sitting on hold to talk to customer service reps that hate their jobs. The turnover at this branch is so bad that we never deal with the same teller twice and it always becomes apparent when the employee is not sufficiently trained to deal with the public and hesitates with every thing you tell them. I am starting my own business and will most certainly not be opening business account with any branch of WF. This branch is the one I want to go to, not another one across town. If you cannot service your customer at their location of choice then why would people stick around?
