Multnomah Falls is a very tall, impressive, and beautiful year-round waterfall with magnificent and breathtaking views. It is easily accessible from the highway with a parking lot, though finding a spot can sometimes require circling. The short but uphill walk to the bridge offers what many consider the best view of the stunning falls. For those seeking more, there is a nice walking trail to the top of the falls or its root, but this hike is steep with switchbacks and moderate inclines. The lower area is an easier trek. At the base, the impressive historic Lodge houses a restaurant, a coffee shop, a snack bar, restrooms, a gift shop, and a visitor center. The gift shop staff are wonderful and informative. This fantastic stop is worth a visit and is free to visit.
Stunning! The trip to the root of the fall is very nice, but steep! We climbed with children (4 and 9) with a few difficulties, but successfully.
