Such a great place for a retreat! The grounds are beautiful and the views are spectacular. I loved the warmth of the Wright Lodge and Greenhouse. The home style food was delicious. Learning and playing music with the Harmonica NW crew was amazing. Thank you Lori, Kim, Joe, Eric, Andrew and Ross for putting on a wonderful conference!

Our group really enjoyed Menucha. Our group stayed at the Ballard house, there was 16 of us total, there was plenty of room. Great quiet location. The staff is friendly and helpful and they assisted us with all of our requests. They offer food sensitive dishes. Food is good! Sunrises were amazing and sunsets were incredible! I must mention that the place really needs a face-lift, probably has not been updated since the 50's and it really shows. Tennis courts are run down and fence is falling, pool is freezing cold, our house was VERY hot! The window's do not have screens so it gets extremely hot. There is no air conditioning most likely due to age of home. Grounds really need some help clean up wise.

Classic facilities are a throwback in time, in a lovely wooded setting. Wasn't blown away by lunch, seemed very basic. A solid near town but out of town event space with beautiful views.

Menucha is a magical, rustic retreat center only 20 or so minutes outside of Portland. The food and atmosphere is sure to provide respite from a hectic life. The grounds are well maintained and the iconic view of the gorge is stunning. I highly recommend checking out this little piece of heaven.

Gorgeous location tucked up into the trees overlooking the Columbia River. There’s so much character in the woodwork in the main lodge. I love the history surrounding the facility also—my favorite story was the hidden small window from the back room into the great hall so the Lady of the House could scope out the partygoers and determine how she wanted to dress.

This was a very beautiful amd relaxing place to stay. The views we had were incredible (photos linked to this post) and bacause of the lack of light pollution, the stars shine very bright at night, and there is a massive field that is perfect for stargazing in. There is a never ending supply of tea and hot chocolate, with food in the dining hall and in the halls (and refirgerators to store food as well) this place has you covered for everything. While the interior of the halls might not have been the nicest in the place where i stayed, there was several halls with very nice rooms and beds for the people that were staying there. Overall, i highly reccomend this place fof schools, buisnessses, homeschools etc. Come and check out the wild views at Menucha!

Our church's Women's Retreat was held there last weekend. What a beautiful, serene, and relaxing place! The accommodations were very comfortable, and the food in the dining hall was yummy. The weather was delightful the weekend we were there, but it would be a lovely place any time of year.

What an incredibly peaceful place. Hike, enjoy views of Columbia river gorge, sit in the sun or shade, and eat delicious food. There's no limit to the various ways Menucha can make your retreat more relaxing and memorable.

Fantastic location, good food and super helpful staff. The views of the Colombia River Gorge are splendid. I stayed here for a week in 2019, since my last visit (I've just spent another week here, 2022) the accommodations have been improved, for example AC in Wright Hall. This time around, the food wasn't quite as good somehow - still good but not very good. Little things need tweaking, like making sure that there is always enough fresh coffee and fresh milk available. That being said, if you're looking for a venue for a Christian retreat, I can't imagine anywhere I'd rather be.

They are very welcoming when you come in a group for a weekend, Friday especially. By Saturday night, it's funny but you start seeing a little less care... coffee mugs not restocked the way they were Friday and Saturday morning, stuff like that. On Sunday, they want you physically moved out of the room by noon, so a weekend event is a bit truncated. Beautiful views, grounds are nice. Go out to the (closed except for summer) pool to see the spectacular view of the gorge. Some of the staff are very friendly, much appreciated. Plumbing is a very mixed bag. Mostly good, but some of the bathrooms (Ballard hall top of stairs for example) have no "mixing faucets." That is quaint and retro but also annoying if you are trying to wash your hands.

Natural beauty, great healthy food, inspiration and good fellowship, walking the labyrinth while listening to silence and birdsong.
