“Needed a new pinion seal, went up to make an appointment. Think they were booked out about 3 weeks (that's the only drawback). Made the appointment, drove my other car while I waited. They replaced the seal, said the rear diff fluid was like mud. Flushed it and refilled it as well. Total cost was less than other shops wanted for just the seal. This has been my only encounter. I've heard a ton of good things. I will most likely come to them first if I need anything else done and would recommend to others. They were also very friendly and very easy to deal with. 09 F-350 6.4L”

“I brought my truck in with what I thought was a serious issue. I explained the truck symptoms and was told the truck wouldn’t be looked at for a week or so. Perfectly fine. By my surprise, I was called 2 days later, saying they found the issue, as it was a loose ground wire going from the cab to the frame. The truck runs amazing now with no check engine lights, all the gauges and stereo work as they should. I will be back!”

Unfortunately sometimes its hard to get there, I have used other local places in a pinch but these guys are solid. Earnesto and his crew got it done, right, the first time and fast. “Tovars is a great, honest, reliable, fair, shop! Great people too! Took my BMW to him, had to have it towed in,( towed in by Always Towing, in Sandy, Or. Which they are great too!) They got it repaired at a fair price, and didnt charge me extra when they had to store the car, after repairs, due to me being out of town when it was fixed and ready for pick up! The owner is one of the nicest people i have ever met! Honest, great communication, very fair prices, and a great mechanic. I am taking my BMW to him again, hopefully today! “I met Clay at Madras dragstrip, and he is just a really good guy. Very sincere. I'm sure he doesn't remember me, as it was some years ago, but he was racing his VERY fast truck, and I stopped by his pit to investigate this impossibly fast truck, and I noticed a rough deposit on his rear fenders. I jokingly referred to it as vortex generators, and he very kindly explained to me that it was his friend's ashes, one on one fender and one on the other, whom had lost their respective battles with cancer, so he brought them racing with him. I left humbled and in tears...”

“I have not had any work at this shop, but rate them 5 anyway. I had a transmission fault service now notification as I was driving home. I pulled over immediately and called Ford, who had replaced my brakes 2 weeks ago for $1200, and didn't really answer my questions. I called another shop in town who wasn't taking on new clients. I called Kim's on a whim. Even thought it was 25min before they closed and they answered my questions and offered for me to head down to them, as I was about a mile away. They knew I was not likely going to get work done with them (they don't fix transmissions, only replace) but took the time to push my car into the bay, check the faults, referred me to a mechanic that they have used themselves and let me leave my car on their property so it could be towed in the morning.I will think of them first for any future repairs.”
