Cascades Raptor Center is a wonderful place to see and learn about a variety of birds of prey. Visitors can enjoy a self-guided tour through numerous outdoor aviaries, where they can see owls, kestrels, falcons, vultures, hawks, and eagles. The Bald Eagles are a highlight, especially when seen up close, and the Barn Owl from Junction City is particularly loved. The center offers an educational experience suitable for all ages, with information panels and opportunities to watch the birds being trained and enriched. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to answer questions, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The birds are well cared for, with spacious, clean enclosures that include enrichment activities, and trainers often interact with them using treats, which excites and animates the birds. Visitors have praised the center for its great standard of care, affordability, and the chance to see the birds' personalities and behaviors firsthand. The outdoor setting means visitors should dress appropriately for the weather, as it can be chilly, and parking may be limited, so walking could be necessary. Overall, Cascades Raptor Center offers an engaging, educational, and memorable experience for families, school groups, and bird enthusiasts alike.

Son and I had an amazing time. We actually spent about 3 hours there. They had 35 active aviaries on this day. The program is a must. Our celebrity for the 11:30 program was Dmitri the Eurasian Eagle Owl. We will definitely return!
