Gilbert Street Market is a nice family run convenient store with great owners. Prices are in line with other convenient stores. It is a refreshing change from other stores in the area. The market has some unique snacks that cannot be found at other stores. It is an old and historical market that has always been there for the community. A main criticism is that the posted hours are unpredictable, as the store sometimes closes early. This can be inconvenient for customers. Despite this, many prefer to give this family their money to keep it in the community.
I love this neighborhood market. The family who runs it are very kind and helpful. This is my go to spot for kombucha in the Bethel Danebo area.
