I have been going to various Hot Topics since I was 9 and this has to be the worst one I have visited. The store was very tiny which made it cramped quickly and it didn’t help that the employees were sitting around playing ‘would you rather’ with each other rather than assisting customers. Speaking of which, half of the merch is on the wall so you have to get assistance from the staff.. if they have time for you. Very very disappointed in my experience because this is always the highlight of my birthday trip.

This is the part where I get to be old and say I miss tripp pants and mall goths because both of these things have kind of died out in the culture, unfortunately. Hot Topic still has a space in my heart even with the changes it has gone through. Thankfully, it still has alt fashion people working there and plays rock music my mom would give me odd looks for listening to.

On the pricey side but if you plan it right you can get good deals. Also it has such a variety of anime, punk, alternative,cuties stuff and graphic t-shirts to choose from. A place I can take my kids ages 10-20 and they all find something they like there.

So incredibly disappointed. If I could leave 0 starts I would. My friend and I were followed around the entire store by the worker, even though we weren’t the only people in the store… The worker (we think, had short pink hair and black glasses) wasn’t even shy about it. We were followed to almost every corner of the store by the worker there who seemed to be putting merchandise away but would randomly aggressively follow us to wherever else we headed to. It was incredibly uncomfortable. We were going to buy a little keychain before this all happened. Decided to just leave instead from how awkward this interaction was for us. It felt racially motivated as both of us are people of color, and the rest of the people in the store were white and didn’t receive the same treatment as us.

Love, love, love it. Great jewelry. A staff member even went out of her way to find me a pair of gauges. Love the punch cards for free jewelry.
