I'm in my mid-40s and have been working with Colt for about 4 months now. I had knee surgery about a year and a half before finding him. Pre-surgery I had always kept in shape through walking, biking, yard work, dancing, etc. Post surgery I had put on weight and I often needed a walking stick for balance.I had never gone to a gym. They're intimidating, crowded, and smell weird. After struggling to exercise at home with no results, I finally conceded that I had no idea how to exercise post-surgery, especially without injuring myself. I needed help.Colt is very welcoming and met with me initially to learn my history and find out what my goals were. He explains things clearly and concisely. Colt helped me ramp up slowly, building my muscles and improving my mobility and balance over time. We started with personal 1 on 1 sessions and now he guides me through weight-lifting, mobility exercises, and conditioning. Need to let off some steam? Conditioning is definitely the way to go!This woman who was scared of gyms is now going 4 days a week voluntarily. I no longer need a walking stick at all and the pain in my knee has reduced significantly. The doctor has been really impressed with my progress in just 4 months. I'm cleared to go hiking/caving next month. Colt knows his stuff and I can't recommend him highly enough. Plus the gym doesn't smell weird!

Excellent direction and assistance. After just a month I am stronger, more energetic, and losing the weight I wanted to. I look forward to each new session. A life changer! Colt considers each individual’s capabilities, limitations and goals when assisting them. His workout videos in private gyms for stretching and weight workouts are excellent too. I highly recommend him!

I’ve been working out at Colt’s gym for almost three years and I just love it! It’s hard to decide what I like better - his tailored workouts or him as a person. Both are absolutely first rate! He’s more than a coach, he has also become a friend.

40plus is a great spot, very nice private gym. And Colt is a very good personal trainer!! I had never been a gym going person, i went to him with an injury, and am still working out and lifting weights 3 years later. I’m 60 and never been stronger or felt in better shape, thanks to Colt, and his good work

I have had the pleasure of working with Colt for seven years. I do not use the word "pleasure" lightly, as working out in a gym was never something I enjoyed. But Colt's approach to personal training was perfect for what I needed. He provides accountability, a supportive learning environment, and an adaptive approach to the individual's needs. My health has improved and whenever I miss a week or workouts, my body tells me!

Colt is a great trainer! He provides clear direction, safe equipment, and a diverse set of exercises that are effective and not boring. He encourages without being pushy, and he can modify any exercise to accommodate injuries or older bodies. I highly recommend 40+ Personal Training.

I have been working out with Colt for 3 years. I feel like the workouts have saved me. The work has helped improve my cycling, hiking and other activities as a result of the strength training and mobility he offers. Colt is able to individualize work outs to adjust for injuries. He is always helpful and has offered flexibility on the schedule when I've needed it. I am a 65 yo woman.

I stumbled across 40+ a few months ago, and it was the best thing I have ever done for myself. I love the personal attention and the friendliness of the owner. The gym is well equipped and geared towards those of us over 40’s. I have gained both strength and flexibility. 40+ offers mobility, weights and conditioning opportunities. What I appreciate most, is working out by myself rather than a group setting. This is confidence-building. Thanks Colt!

Colt has been great! He is working with 79 year old me and 82 year old partner. We have not hurt ourselves and we are working hard and getting stronger! Colt is organized and knows what he is doing. We are so glad we found 40 Plus.

40 Plus Personal Training has change my fitness level and transformed my body for the better. Over the past 2 years, I have seen such positive changes of my muscles, core and balance. Colt works around my various ailments. The best part is that every work out is different, seriously—I have never done the same work out twice. Colt works hard to keep exercise interesting and fun. Everyone should do this!!

I soon added the mobility training and no longer needed to see a physical therapist for a longstanding shoulder injury. Colt's style of training is exactly what I needed to get headed back down the path to fitness. I am easily bored with the same ol' workouts and equipment. That's not going to happen with 40+. Colt changes up the workouts every time and is frequently upgrading his equipment and finding new ways to challenge his clients. He knows not all bodies are created equal and many of his clients, me included, have previous injuries and limitations. He is always willing to offer suggestions for substituting moves when body parts are hurting or because of body mechanic limitations. I appreciate the one-on-one training style as I'm not a fan of group classes. Colt keeps the gym and equipment clean and organized, which makes it an inviting environment to workout.

Cannot recommend 40 Plus Personal Training enough. I started working with Colt following a back surgery and was quite debilitated. He has helped me regain all strength and mobility and I'm able to do more than I have in years. His routines are always fun, safe, effective and never boring. Thank you Colt!
