“I only encountered Winco when I moved to Oregon, and as an outsider I think they're OK.
Clean store, friendly staff, and the reason we all go: it's cheap. Their prices are usually lower than Walmart, and almost always lower than Safeway or Albertsons. As a bonus their house brand is both cheaper than the name brand stuff beside it and usually pretty good.
And they're employee owned, so that's also a bonus!”
