“We enjoyed a 2 night stay at the Edwin K in Sept, and could not have been happier with our choice. The house and room were super clean, modern amenities in a beautifully restored historic home, and a great location. It was easy to walk to downtown to enjoy the water front and the local restaurants/shops. Such a cute downtown. Hosts were very welcoming and super responsive. The room was nicely appointed and the snacks provided in the room were an added nice touch, as well as the quality bathroom products. Loved it! We would definitely stay here again! Lisa C”

“I honestly didn’t expect this. I booked this room for a spontaneous, last minute road trip. I wasn’t expecting much, but was very pleasantly surprised when I walked through the door to my room. It is so cute and cozy, and stocked with everything anyone could possibly need. You can tell the owners put a lot of thought into all the special touches. I only wish I had more time!”

“Very nice motel that is centrally located to just about everything you'd want to do. It is located just south of downtown Florence, close to the dunes. The motel is small, but quiet, clean, with all the basic amenities and a comfortable bed. We look forward to staying again, when we are in that area.”

“Quiet and clean. This is an older property, but it is well maintained and the owners were very clear on what they provided (coffee and ice in the lobby) & parking instructions. From our second floor room we could see the water and felt miles from civilization even though we were close to restaurants.”

“Very clean, newly redone rooms

Rooms: So clean, that I (clean freak who often Clorox wipes the surfaces in hotel rooms) was fine with my preschooler sleeping on a blanket on the floor.

Walkability: Cute downtown and river is less than a block away. Great coffee shop River Roasters is a 2 minute walk (covered out door seating on river with heaters) as well as cute interior.

Food & drinks: Prepacked food at the gran and go breakfast”

“The hotel from the outside looks dated. Inside the lobby and the room was updated, not extravagant but decent. The bathroom could use a little updating and cleaning but wasn't disgusting. The balcony was small and was blocked mostly by trees/brush with a small house in front of the hotel. It was close to the bridge but far enough away that we didn't hear any traffic noise. We only stayed overnight so it served our purpose. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Breakfast was the highlight with good coffee and made to order omelettes! All the staff was attentive and friendly. Parking was ok while we were there but could see it being tight if they were full.”

“this was a last min trip and was able to get a cabin last min on fourth of July. Cabin number 9 has an absolute best view but the cabin is extremely tiny and run down. Curtains aren't great no screens on most of the windows so you get a lot of bugs flying in. also no ac so it extremely hot and no fan is provided so bring one! and it's right in front of the boat dock so lots and lots of noise. very family friendly place and everyone was extremely nice. We really loved all the special touches the owners do like movie night and a dance party with popcorn and roasted marshmallows and even breakfast was made in the morning. yes this was a holiday weekend so idk if all of those things are every weekend but man what great place.”

“The owners Milton and Natalie are the best. Rooms have a kitchen, table and chairs, full bath, comfy bed and best part is the back patio with the lake view. ?. They see friendly and quick to answer questions, ect. We have stayed here twice both for 5-6 months at a time. Would recommend this place to anyone but really to those that need a few months at a time stay. Dog friendly.”

“Funky place that while dated and worn that has amazingly comfortable beds, surprisingly minimal road noise with the windows closed (we faced the 101), and a very clean bathroom (the only dirty spot was behind the shower door which as we all know is the hardest to clean). Eric was very warm and friendly and made a great breakfast. Would return and do recommend if on a budget.”

“Hands down the nicest hotel I have stayed at in a long time . Rooms were very clean , soft beds . Location was great. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Negative: hidden pet fees . $20.00 a pet per night , and seemed a bit overpriced but everything is now a days . Definitely will be back .”

“Stayed here with a large group and stayed where there is three beds, the rooms were pretty clean and comfortable.
The stuff was very nice and helpful. Got us pool towels quickly, and also helped us with good coffee. I have stayed away from this place before because of reviews but now I might be staying here next time we come to florence as well.”
