The host was friendly and made a great breakfast (eggs to order, biscuits from scratch)! The location was pretty good - easy access to the highway and fairly close to nearby restaurants and stores. The room was in need of a little refreshing, though, and the shower temp was inconsistent.

This is the worst motel I've ever been to. The room they gave me stank terribly, there were cobwebs and spiders on the windows. It's impossible to go into the bathroom because it's terribly dirty, there are stains everywhere and it's clear that they haven't even tried to wash them off for years. The bed creaks like an old door as soon as you sit on it. The kitchen is terribly dirty. I wouldn't wish my worst enemy to stay here even for one night.

Run down place. Neglected in obvious ways. Disappointing stay but thankfully only 1 night.
Generally nice interactions with staff and checkin. Must not be worth it for the ownership, but unfortunately, for those vacationing, it’s pretty wrong. Location is good. The connecting restaurant looks great and food pics even better, but too bad we didn’t have an opportunity to dine.

Funky place that while dated and worn that has amazingly comfortable beds, surprisingly minimal road noise with the windows closed (we faced the 101), and a very clean bathroom (the only dirty spot was behind the shower door which as we all know is the hardest to clean). Eric was very warm and friendly and made a great breakfast. Would return and do recommend if on a budget.

Pictures online did not match the current condition. Absolutely no landscape maintenance has been done for at least a month. Weeds all grown up in front of all the rooms. Rooms were clean but dilapidated. Tiles falling off inside the shower. No AC, only ceiling fans and opening windows most rooms are right on HWY 101 so if you are a light sleeper, this hotel is not for you. Service was friendly.

Very dirty: dirty sheets, carpets, bugs in the bathroom, dirty tables at breakfast. The breakfast is poor and the coffee is terrible.

For reference, I have stayed in 'regular' motels in Serbia, Bosnia, Romania, Mexico, etc. This place is one I could never recommend.
The carpets are badly stained, it smells of must and mold, the bathroom sink does not drain, soap scum left in the shower, the included breakfast looked bad enough that I chose to spend my money for 5 of us to eat somewhere else, bed was old and saggy, scum ring in the toilet, old cars are the view from our delapitated balcony which had left over beer bottle caps for decoration.
The guy who runs if seems nice enough and I feel bad knocking his place because he needs to make a living too, However spending over a $100 a night on this place is just wrong for me. If the place were $50 a night, then maybe the savings would make it worth it? I still wouldn't I stay though, I value cleanliness and order too much.
Again, sad to say this,

I was looking for a place that would be affordable, sleep well, be reasonably clean, and have a decent breakfast. All of these goals were met.
This place is old. It looks like it and feels like it. It is also clean and also friendly. They have birds in the lobby. The people at the desk are nice and helpful. The breakfast is reasonable in options and delicious in quality.
Not luxury. Not shiny.
Clean enough for normal people.
Affordable.
Nice and friendly place.
Good sleep.
Rooms: They are old but clean and nice. They are like a guest room in a rural house.
Walkability: Old bay town Florence is 2 minutes walk, and it's full of awesome restaurants and stores.

Location is right off Hwy 101 in Florence before Bridge heading South. We have stayed here numerous times over the years and have never had any issues ! This is an older Inn and has many quaint qualities about it.
Rooms: We've always had a clean room here.
Nearby activities: Walk across Hwy 101 and you will find the River front area with excellent shops and restaurants.
Safety: Always have felt safe here.
Walkability: Many great shops ...restaurants...grocery stores..ect within walking distance.

Skankiest motel on the Oregon coast! This place is a disgusting crack den, run by deplorable people. Do NOT stay here, it is extremely dangerous!
Do your research on the owner. He has quite the history! Avoid this place!

We booked a room for Saturday during 2024 Rhody Fest. Around 15 minutes after we made the booking they called us back and asked if the offer we made the last time we stayed was still good (my boyfriend is a general contractor and told them if they needed any work done to give him a call) we said of course and he stated they needed furniture moved out of a room Friday morning to prep for new carpet and the parking lot swept for a total of “a couple hours of work” he stated he had all the tools to do it and offered us Thursday and Friday night to stay. We told him sure but we wouldn’t be there till late Thursday night (11:30pm) when we got there that night the lady informed us that the carpet install was delayed so furniture didn’t need to be moved till Sunday but it would still be only a couple hours of work in exchange for the nights they offered. Well, when we got up and going Friday (we had 4 kids with us ranging from 4 years old to 14 years old) he started with the “sweeper” for the 3 parking lots. He gave us a tiny hand push sweeper meant for small walkway sidewalks and a wheel barrow. Me with the help of my teenagers it took us from 12pm till 2:30pm to get the lots done (plus while we were doing this we had to keep the 4 and 6 year olds happy) when I told him the wheelbarrow was getting heavy and asked where to dump it he first said “I don’t know if this is legal” and then told me he wanted my teenager to walk it 3 blocks away to fill potholes. I refused it and he gave me attitude. After the 3rd time I told him I was not going to have them walk it that far he gave in and had them dump it by the mailbox out front. While we were working on the lots he wanted my boyfriend (who is a general contractor not yard maintenance) to trim and shape the bushes on the far side of the building, cut the grass in the back and cut and remove ivy around a tree. To do these tasks he gave my BF a weedwacker that had no guard and a foot and a half of string sticking out and an extension cord that looked like it got into a knife fight (come to find out it didn’t even work) and hand clippers for the bushes and ivy. It took my BF from 12pm till 2:30pm just to cut and shape the large amount of bushes BY HAND! After we completed the couple of hours of work we were told to do in exchange for the stay we went about our weekend. The room was nasty, carpet was wavy and very worn, paint was peeling, the dryrot inter the doorframe that caused the door to the patio not to close, lamp didn’t work, no remote in one room, the tv in the main room wouldn’t connect to the internet (it is a Roku tv the is a hit and miss on what services are logged in on what tv) the beds are so worn they are uncomfortable and the list goes on. My daughters were cover in bug bites, we stayed at the lighthouse inn a couple weeks before this and the same thing happened, but we thought maybe it was sand fleas or something from the beach, but this time we didn’t even get close to the beach. So the only pieces that matched there was where we were staying. On Sunday we watched the parade and after it was over started packing up our stuff to head home. The owner (Eric) then walked up to our door and told me and my BF that he was ready for us to move the furniture whenever we were ready. My BF told him nicely that we were going to head out and that he was willing to pay an extra $100 for the stay, that we had already put in the couple of hours they told us we needed to do for the extra nights and we were not going to move the furniture. Eric again gave attitude and interrupted my BF by loudly saying “NO”. We again told him we put in the work already and were leaving. Eric then said he would charge us and walked away. When we turned in the keys my BF asked him how much TOTAL would he be charged and Eric answered $300. We checked the account and there was a charge of $300.28 for our Saturday booking and we went home but the story doesn’t end there. Monday we see he charged us another $300, refuses to return it saying we didn’t do any of the work that was requested of us.
