Discount Stores near Gearhart, OR

“The loveliest ladies working here, so dang sweet and helpful. Amazing variety and plenty of well priced goodies to stock up on. Definitely worth a pit stop! ?✨ ?”

“I just came across a review written by Maddie Kush, a young woman who is a singer/songwriter and lives in her van.

She trespassed all night at Grocery Outlet, sleeping in her van. She complained bitterly that she was treated rudely when discovered camping in their parking lot the next morning, and indignantly pronounced her intention to patronize other area businesses who better appreciate her business.

Nowhere does she acknowledge that trespassing is illegal and just plain wrong. As someone who lives in her van, and who camps opportunistically, you can bet that this is not the first time she’s been run off rudely by a business when discovered camping on their property.

She lists quite a number of other businesses that she intends to patronize instead of Grocery Outlet, but you can be sure that not a single one of those businesses welcomes over-night car camping in their parking lots. Frankly, she is lucky that the owner did not call the police. He would have been well within his rights to do so.

I especially enjoyed the disingenuous way that she described her trespass, saying that she was simply waiting for the store to open. For eight freaking hours? You’re camping, not waiting. And you are not entitled to a polite send off in the morning.”

“Compliments to Jay Barajas, the Warrenton Store Manager; he is just a great manager. I mean he is great with all us customers but I have witnessed him being great to his people all the time. Like being patient at the registers or on the floor and he goes out of his way to say good night when he is leaving and also wishes them a good evening. He just seems to be genuinely grateful to have his Warrenton team and we all know that lots of managers are not that way so bravo to Jay!”

“Was 3 minutes to close and my last insta cart shop for the night, all three young guys working were eager to help find what the customer wanted, and have us all out the door happy and on time. Although they were out of half of the items on the list they were still just as cheerful as they let me out the door as when. I walked in”
