Stopped by on my way from Eugene to Portland. The folks were so kind and accommodating, taking time out of his morning to show me all the different grades of maple and walnut and cherry. By FAR the most exhaustive and comprehensive selections of figured maple and walnut (and cherry) in the USA.If you’re a woodworker, this place is heaven. Their business is mostly shipping based, but don’t be fooled, they were most welcoming to me to show me around at 8:25 in the morning. Absolutely recommend!

Very good company with awesome wood products, great website and customer service. My order arrived promptly. I highly recommend Northwest Timber! An update..., I ordered a piece of 4/4 5A Claro Walnut, but received a 8/4 board. After making contact with Northwest Timber, they apologized due to a clerical error on their website. They promptly took care of sending beautiful replacement 4/4 boards. This company is absolutely one of the best I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with! The folks at Northwest Timber go the extra yard to make things right and customer satisfaction is their priority, in addition to carrying the best selection of high quality products I have ever seen.

Purchasing wood from Northwest Timber is always a pleasure because of their courtesy, great customer service, and high business standards. The quality of their wood is unsurpassed!Building a project takes as much time and effort whether you use beautiful wood or pallet wood. The difference is in the beauty of the end product, which begins with Northwest Timber. Below is a picture of a quilted maple table with ebony and mother of pearl inlays made by my husband.

I purchased two curly cherry boards and one striped myrtle board. The boards are SPECTACULAR. They are just as pictured and described. The boards arrived in Central California in just two days, and most importantly, the boards arrived in perfect condition. They are even better than I expected. I'd definitely buy here again.

The website is cleanly designed and well-maintained, which is a big help compared to many other places. Their inventory and cataloging is accurate and thorough. I've had two different conversations with people there that could not have possibly been more pleasant. Each of the people that helped me were not only very friendly, but their wealth of knowledge and information was outstanding. I learned a great deal and had questions I had not yet thought of answered along the way.If only more vendors operated at this level. 100% would recommend to anyone- and because of their extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly disposition, they are now my first and likely only call for specialized woods.I really could go on and on.
