“This is my go-to home improvement store in the Portland area. Over the last 5-6 years, some of their staff have been most helpful to me. I usually find the prices, variety of products, and product availability to be right for my needs. The location of this store could hardly be better, near 2 freeways, and NOT on a busy street. More than adequate parking, and with a super convenient entrance for loading up large items such as lumber. I have started to beef up my tool box with some better quality tools, and I'm quite happy with recent purchases, especially non-powered tools, for example, combining Craftsman and Kobalt to come up with a robust but compact deep socket ratchet solution. I am glad now that they have brought back cleaning vinegar after a nearly 2 year spell of not carrying it in stores, but... it's not always in stock![Update 9/1/2022] It's still hard to come by the cleaning vinegar, but other than that, I generally find what I need here in order to maintain a fair number of properties.[Update 6/28/2023] Great staff... friendly, welcoming, helpful, generally very available. During the day time hours, they have the most staff on hand, and that is when it is the easiest to get help.[Update 11/27/2023] Even with Christmas goods filling the aisles, I'm still finding everything I need for daily work.[Update 2/14/2023] It's handy to have a store like this one where I know the departmental layout fairly well. I came in last night with only 5 minutes before closing, found the dimmer switch I needed, and paid for it in time. On top of that, the checkout clerk handed me my glove that I had dropped back in the lighting aisle. Crisis averted. Kudos!!”

“Today I was looking for ideas to cover a planter-tub pond on my deck that would keep raccoons out of it at night so they don't eat the fish. I wish I had gotten the name of the very helpful gentleman who walked the store aisles brainstorming ideas for me. He came up with several good ideas and I ultimately went with the pre-cut beveled wood round (that most people would buy to make a side table). It was perfect. This man was extremely helpful, generous with his time, and clearly has excellent problem-solving skills. Yay for me!! Thank you, thank you!!”

Overall the folks there were amazing, especially Candace Ledingham-Ramos was super helpful and patient with all my questions. She walked me through the different options of fridges as well as delivery options. Additionally the manager, Eric , was also extremely helpful and supportive. “The Home Depot is my second favorite store behind Costco. A little history... this location was built on top of the old Oregon City Landfill. That's right! They filled it in and covered it. I've always liked this Home Depot... it is less busy then some of the others. There is always parking but lately it's been hard to get help if you need it. They are short employees just like everywhere else unfortunately. Returns are pretty simple here. I love the paint department! You can bring in a chip of paint and they say they can match it pretty close. Nice! In the Summer the garden department is wonderful and such a happy place. I think this one is bigger than most of the other Home Depot's I have been to.”

“This review is for the employee, John in appliance more than the store. Rarely do I find someone who has genuine expertise, or one who has time to really help. John in appliances was the exception, the rate exception! He took a disposal question and ac3d it out, taking time to explore all avenues and delivering EXPERT analysis on the issue. It was extraordinary he stuck with it and demonstrated such genuine concern and really knew his stuff! I find this very rare with the employees there. His efforts did more than resolve the issue.
