“Love this consignment store! They have a great selection of clothes, books, toys and gear. I especially love their maternity section, it's hard to shop for maternity clothes in person these days. Their prices are good, I've gotten some amazing deals on gently used items. It's also very clean and well organized so things are easy to find.”
“Lovely store run by lovely people. Staff are always very helpful, kind and engaging: My go to store when I need to find a gift because they have something for every price range and have a good mixture of popular and unique items.”
“Lacy at Posh baby was so incredibly helpful and nice!! She helped me find exactly what I needed and even after placing an online order and changing my mind she helped me change my order! I highly recommend using this small business for your baby needs! I will continue to support this business after my baby is here and needs upgrades! Thank you Lacy!”
“I appreciate how selective this store is with what they take. It guarantees the quality of their items and you always find a treasure! Friendly staff and a clean facility as well.”
“This store is awesome. Throwback to a time and style of outerwear before REI. Salespeople smile and are helpful. Products are very timeless quality. You won’t find much gortex, and other hi-tech fabric clothes here. Think more classic cotton, wool, and waxed canvas outwear from Pendleton, Barbur, and Carhartt. Excellent selection of Levi’s and Wrangler jeans.”
“We went here and got a bunch of maternity clothing from Sara and her store. She was SO helpful and is extremely chipper and friendly. I'll be recommending her to all my pregnant friends and friends with small children. I was able to get a new swimsuit for $12, a pair of jeans for $15, new shorts for $10, a fun dress for $18.50- her prices are so affordable. This was after stopping at 3 other shops and not finding anything we liked. Definitely try this shop out!”
“I needed a last minute gift for a baby girl and the employees at Grasshopper were super-friendly and helped me pick and match a cute outfit! Thank you Grasshopper.”
“Best place to buy shoes for kiddos in Portland! The owner, Carey, is so kind and knowledgeable about everything in the shop, too. My favorite place to shop for all things baby and up in PDX.”
“I ordered Elizabeth Dress in Dutch White from Sara Dresses for my little daughter. I have to admit the dress is just the cutest one I've ever got within my budget. Also, the fabric of the dress is making my child completely comfortable. The dress is superbly designed and is absolutely stunning.”
“Beanstalk has some frustratingly limited hours, making it difficult to patronize on the regular (especially during the work week!), but when you do manage to get in the door, there's some fantastic treasures to be found here. Although it is primarily a consignment children's clothing store, you'll also find no shortage of wonderful, analog toys to plant the seeds of imagination in your little ones, in the hope that they'll sprout into clever, intelligent, fully-functioning, not-screen-addicted adults! This must be a conscious choice, because I could find nary an electronic device anywhere in the shop! Big kudos from me on that point alone! As for the clothing, let's just say, you're spoilt for choice. While some of the items are a little on the pricier side than I would like for a consignment shop, the quality of the clothing here is impeccable: clean, well-organized, and a healthy variety of sizes and styles. Everything you could need for any age, from newborn and toddler, up through the early grade school years: shirts, pants, dresses, hats, coats, shoes (TONS of shoes!), costumes, and all sorts of accessories! There's also a small selection of baby stuff in the back, including cribs, swings, and a host of different devices that I have no clue as to their function, but will assuredly be learning about them in the coming months (my wife is due next month)! In the last year, I have come to learn that shopping for a new child sucks, mostly because there is a dearth of places that have any quantity of clothing and accessories, outside of the big box stores, which I would prefer not to frequent, if possible. Thankfully, Beanstalk is here to pick up the slack, but you DO have to make an effort to get here during operating hours, particularly if you work during the week: Saturday (from 10am to 5pm) is your only real available option.”
“This store is absolutely lovely and the gal who helped me in store was amazing. She offered to help me to my car with items, as I had a stroller and little one with me. Fair prices, quality items and great customer service. Thank you!”
“My online order was delivered quickly, was packed with care, and even came with a personal note thanking me for my order! Will definitely order from them again, especially for Christmas! Really cute things!!”
“I go here if I want to splurge on a baby/kids outfit! Love the quality and selection. However, I will say the last time I was in, the gal working did not acknowledge me. When I looked over at the register, she was taking selfies, and when I went up to pay for the items, she acknowledged me and FINISHED her selfies before ringing me up. I know she’s young….but that’s pretty bad, and a terrible representation for the store!
UPDATE: I went back with my daughter and husband around the same time (Saturday) as the prior visit and had a wonderful experience. The woman working (perhaps the owner?) was attentive, engaging, and thoughtful. Changing review from 3 stars to 4 stars.”
“I love this store, the family is amazing that owns this children’s boutique. I feel so welcome when I come in. I love shopping here because there is always something new & cute every time I come in!! Everyone is so cheerful as well & the store is more organized each time I walk in.”
“Silly Daisy is a welcome addition to the neighborhood, and a joy to walk around. The space is light and bright has a really welcoming feel to it. The owner is wonderful, and their selection of art, home decor, clothing and body care is perfect. They also have a cute kids section and a small fabric selection as well. The owner has said they will be offering sewing lessons in spring as well, and I'm excited to attend!”
“Very nice greeting at the door. Very nicely greeted. They still don’t carry men’s which they should! Inventory choices were great, but not in order on the racks. Had to search for sizes. Seems crazy with the numbers and employee that they have.
People on the floor are awesome. Very helpful putting outfits together. Couldn’t have asked for a better representation of the company.
Just need men’s!”
“I have found a hidden gem!! I didn't know jcpenney had a salon.I have been going to this jcpenney salon at Washington Square mall for several years. Do to my schedule, I have seen a bunch of stylists at their salon Denise, Amvy, Corina,Oliver and Cynthia and as of recent I just seen Christal and Rachel. Every appointment has been amazing and happy with my services . The manager Jenny Mae is very perfessional , always happy and smiling, and runs a very clean salon. A great manager truly shows and reflects on the stylist and how sweet and professional everyone is. The most important is you can be yourself and not be judged. I always look forward to my next appt !Services: Blowouts”
“Stopped in to look at some Tevas. I have very small feet so had no expectation of actually walking out with the pair I was looking for but Casey was so helpful and brought out a couple options for me to try and was pleasantly surprised that there were multiple for me to choose from! Walked out with a pair of sandals I have been looking for for months and had a great shopping experience with a very friendly associate, Casey, helping me out.”
“I just recently purchased some shoes for my wife and was pleasantly pleased to find that they knew exactly what I was looking for. Grace was very helpful and kind. I will be shopping there again In the future.”
“Wonderful selection in ALL sizes!! Fitting rooms are clean and store is displayed in an “easy to shop” fashion.Wonderful employees and wonderful customer service!!”
“This is my go-to local shop for all things baby/child. I can’t tell you how many gifts I’ve creatively gathered up for children’s birthday parties, baby showers, holiday toy drives, etc. I manage to walk out spending way less than retail pricing and I feel really good about supporting a local business and participating in the concept of less waste/reusing. This is a definite MUST for families and anyone buying for little ones (even if you aren’t a parent).”
“The employees here are very kind and respectful while I shop! I’m not bothered while I shop and they’re still ready to help the moment I need it, which is fabulous. Also, I love this brand! No piece of clothing has ever disappointed me :)”
“Been consigning for years here. Always find good gear for the changing seasons. Friendly staff, went through the items to consign quickly—while I waited, I perused the books—high quality and wide ranging selection—I always find books on my list for my PreK classroom. For a small store, it’s well stocked—yet easy to peruse as it’s well organized and there are always sweet locally made treasures among the displays such as hand crafted hair accessories and the like. It’s right next to Starbucks and Whole Foods and a postal store which makes gift shopping easy one stop experience! Thank you”
“Love this place. Everyone is always so helpful and nice. Had a large online return and the cashier made it so easy for me. I didn't have an invoice in the box so she just asked for my phone number. She even reordered the stuff I needed. She was very sweet to my very fussy baby too.I believe her name was Sandy. Erin the Mgr was very nice too.”
“Had a fantastic experience over the weekend when stopping in for new overalls and few other items. Dani was incredibly helpful in working out sizing based on what the material was and how it would react to being washed. She was friendly and really took her time getting everything I needed purchased and had out of stock sizes sent directly to my home. She knows the brand in and out and represents it well.”
“I was shopping for hiking clothes for the summer and I was met by a very respectful employee named Annie who gave me helpful advice on which products to buy. Will be coming back”
“The experience you receive at this store is nothing short of magical. The clothes vary from charming suits to elegant ball gowns (fit for queens of course). The customer service impresses me every time I enter. The benefits you also receive just for being a customer is edifying. The uniqueness of this store never fails to amaze me. When you walk in you feel like Emily in Paris ???”
“THIS STORE IS MASSIVE!!! AND SUUUPER FAIRLY PRICED!
Type of store that you can go to a rack and not only get one shirt you like but one of EVERY COLOR without breaking the bank ??
I wish I would have known about this store 15+ years ago when I was in school, for the amount my parents paid for us kids at the malls stores like; Abercrombie, Hollister, Suns-Up, etc,. We could have more than tripled our wardrobe size!!
Recommended; YES!!”
“Please be aware that most, if not all, workers will be teenagers like many malls all over America(kids themselves)so be patient and kind. They can't learn if they're not allowed to make mistakes. For example, look at that angry lady below me complaining about fifty-five cents. The logical and actual reason that happened is because the employee hit the number 1 key twice by accident. I'm sure the employee learned to slow down from now on.To many of the parents/guardians: You need to watch your kids, period. End of story. If you need a place to sit and there's no where else to sit then leave the store this is not a place to sit down anywhere you want just like most stores in the mall. Walk your lazy butt to the 4 benches right outside the store I'm trying to shop and you're in my way.To the cashiers: Slow the f down and chilllll. Even if there's a rude customer it's better to go at your own pace and do it right vs rushing and doing it wrong. When you guys put clothes away you need to slow down as well it's not that serious. As for the clothes they're great thank you.To everyone: A little patience and kindness goes a very long way.”
“I’ve been coming here for years. I am used to thrifting and digging so the amount of clothes isn’t a problem for me, although for the less experienced, it could be overwhelming. The pricing can be confusing, if something is marked $29.90 or $39.90 it is actually only a $1. To me, this place has true thrift prices compared to other thrift stores that sell used items with new pricing. Susan the owner is very nice & helpful and she will get you items that aren’t displayed if you tell her exactly what you’re looking for! I feel like they could maybe get pickier when accepting items & doing a .25 bin with the more worn items. I’ve gotten some amazing deals here and I’ll continue to come back! Thanks Susan.”
